Edit: bumped up to 3 stars because the food was so good. I just wish they had better quality control on what went out the door and a better delivery service.
Unfortunately I'm done ordering from one of my favorite restaurants. 2 orders ago, they brought me a pizza sliced like cheese bread... yeah, they sliced the pizza in thin little slices like it was cheese bread. I've never seen anything like that. The delivery guy apologized and I accepted the pizza because I didn't want to wait an hour for a replacement, and also, as a one-off incident it's not a HUGE deal, although it was very weird.
They gave me a free pizza when I called in to let them know how the pizza was sent out (it should have never left the kitchen like that). I respect that and I thought we were done with the issues.
I called tonight to use my free pizza (as well as order several other menu items) and after 10 minutes on the phone, being handed off to multiple people and stating my order 3 separate times, I'm finally able to place my order and I'm told it will be "45 minutes, 1 hour to be safe." An hour and 30 minutes later, I call to check on where the pizza is. It's being put in the "warming box" now and coming out to me, 15 minutes max.
15 minutes later (almost 2 hours from our original order), we get LUKEWARM pizza that has obviously been sitting out for awhile.
I want to give Italia the benefit of the doubt and think that they have the best of intentions, but I'm not willing to try again after several subpar...
Read moreI'm quite upset. Lemme start off by saying that I understand that places get busy and sometimes people get the short end of the stick. I work in the service industry. We ordered the Gluten-Free Ravioli and a small veggie Gluten-Free pizza. We were told that it would take 10 mins. We noticed as we walked in, that there was a large party starting to arrive. We assumed we would get our pizza after they got their salads because our salads came out before theirs. We noticed the same dilemma happen with the couple that seemed to ordered before us. We also noticed two large groups of people walk in and then walk out. We waited thirty minutes until we asked for our food to go. We were really hungry so we ate our pizza in the car on the way home. It was cold. It seemed as if they let our food sit as they sold the big party. We got home and the Ravioli was luke warm at best. I have had their Ravioli before... at Target in the frozen section. The Brand is Udi's. A popular brand in the Gluten-Free community. In other words it wasn't house made. I was excited about this place at first but I understand why I didn't hear about this place after living in Nashville for...
Read moreSo we had lunch there on a Saturday during the early January. Let me be very clear, the food was spectacular, I could argue that I would have liked more cheese in my calzone, but the taste was tremendous. My wife had the ravioli she actually said wow when she took the first bite. And it was a well deserved wow after I tried some of it. Ok, that said and I understand that the last couple of years have been rough on small business, but they really are in need of a refresh on the front. It was clean, that was not an issue, but it was cold we never took our coats off. In Addition, the little restroom needs some serious work. Should we find ourselves in that area again, we would definitely order food from there again, but most likely for take out. The last thing is it would be great if they could update the menu board to remove the items that are no longer offered and update the pricing. Remember this is a restaurant and the food was...
