Wow is all I can say.. I'm a big fan of Jersey Mikes and have been patiently waiting for them to replace the lennys for months (JM obviously has the better bread). I have been there three times now and last night was like a horrible, dirty joke, in front of kids. So much so that I had to try to spread the word (I"m not one to complain about much of anything). I felt like a candid reality camera crew was going to jump out and punk all the people in the place or something, or at least hoped.. The crew seems to be primarily made of resentful, angry stoners, and ex-cons. I felt bad for the black guy that was stuck there, he seemed to be the only one that was clean, calm, and aware that he was at work.
The guy on the slicer was very angry to be there. He was slamming things and cursing. when I asked for cucumber on my veggie he replied,'we have some in the back, but its not cut, do you want anything else?' He kind of changed his tune slightly to a more calm (and def creepy) one, when the 5-6 y/o little girl and her mother behind me started to order (the creepy part was that he talked to the little girl all the way out the door). The sammy maker was so annihilated (F** up), I'm surprised he didn't drool in my sandwich. He couldn't understand what people were saying to him (though he didn't respond in words to anyone), I had to ask him for tomatoes on my sammy 3 times, and I supervised him as ling as I could before I was ushered down the line (and guess what, when I got home and sat down to eat there was no tomatoes on my sammy and it was swimming in 'light honey mustard'). The chick at the register was in sweats and a t shirt, and looked like she was casing the open drawer when she didn't touch the screen and just gave me, what seemed to be, a total when I walked up..
There are many more details that stick out, but I feel like I've blathered enough to paint the picture I experienced last night. All it did was make me miss the Lenny's (that I was never a fan of).
Its a shame that JM treats their most valuable employees like total crap (Like Jamie Miller, who overhauled sever JM around town but still could not perform enough magic for the corporate, money hungry douche bags). Y'all better tighten up! (I"m talking to you, Gray! Or whoever is in charge of the...
Read moreI am beyond outraged with my experience at this location. 2 years ago, I had an awful experience for this establishment, I left a review, and then I was reassured that things would be fixed. After tonight's visit, I will need more than words of such reassurance.
I went in with my family for dinner, which we get nothing that is abnormal or differing from the standard menu options. On our way in, we saw a homeless man walking down the strip, so we asked if he would like to join us for dinner (which is so very important to us as we are teaching our child about kindness still being alive in the world). We do this often and never have any trouble at any restaurant. However, this time, we we were greeted with absolutely awful attitudes, looks of disgust, and aggressive comments. It was as though the staff was merely choosing not to help us because of this, so the person who I assume to be the manager was the only one who was serving us to any capacity. The rest of the staff simply stood there watching us. To many, this would likely be embarrassing. We get looks all the time, but never like this. You further humiliated this man, who simply wanted a meal. Due to this, our new friend elected to go stand outside and wait for his food. A guest of mine and a customer of your establishment no longer felt welcomed, although his meal was paid for and he was in no way a disturbance to your operations.
It was also very noticeable that you all intentionally made it a point to make our meals as slow as you possibly could, even though we were the only ones in the restaurant.
I will be calling in to speak with someone about this tomorrow. I'm disgusted by this experience. Trying to teach my kid how to be kind and here you are in the service industry failing to do so. I'm beyond mad, I'm disappointed beyond what words can express on...
Read moreI am not one to write a negative review unless the experience was so bad that it is warranted. Unfortunately, that is the case here. I normally have excellent experiences at Jersey Mike’s and this location is one that I’ve been too before, but today was just bad.
The sandwich was deficient for the $18 spent. First, there was definitely less meat on my Original Italian than there should have been. At least a 25% less meat than normal, yet the price was the same. The sandwich was improperly made, beginning with the mere throwing of ingredients on the sandwich, and the wrong sauce. I asked for honey mustard, got regular mustard instead, and when I asked for honey mustard, the look of disdain I received from the sandwich artist was very off-putting, as if to say “how dare I ask for honey mustard on my sandwich.” If that wasn’t bad enough, the sandwich was very dry despite having virtually everything on it.
I was greeted when I arrived at the counter, but it was a rush to get me out of the way after that, which was exhibited in the body language of the employees and the rushed manner in which my sandwich was made. I should’ve left without paying honestly, and let them keep their sandwich, but to avoid confrontation, I bought it anyway. I regret that decision. Clients deserve better for the prices they are being asked to spend on these products. I did not get my money’s worth on this sandwich AT ALL. I don’t know if it is just this location, or if Jersey Mike’s is cost-cutting to keep profit margins by putting less meat in their sandwiches, but this type of service and product served is he best way to lose their customers in VERY...
