Marco's Pizza — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

Good no Great pizza here. Much better than what I have been having lately from other establishments. For those who follow my Reviews, I rate based on:

1. Quality of Product/Food ★★★★★ - Excellent Pizza! ★ - Very disappointed in the cold mass produced marinara dipping sauce for bread sticks (guys you do great pizza, that means you do great sauce and that means eliminate the cold mass produced marinara. It tastes nothing like your pizza sauce. You need to know your staff so graciously provided me and my family a cup of your actual pizza sauce and also warmed it! (See section 2)

2. Employee attitude, knowledge and general work ethics ★★★★★ + a sixth ★ - I'd consider yourselves very lucky to have the 2 that waited on us. They were everything you could ask for in everyway and should be considered for management of the next franchise you open. Marinara sauce mentioned above is one example, THEY BUSED OUR TABLE!, I'd repeat that for emphasis but you get the point. They genuinely care about the quality of their own work not just what is asked of them. DO NOT LOOSE THESE GUYS BY NOT ASKING AND LISTENING TO THEIR OPINIONS!

3. What could have been better or needs improvement ★★★★ I know owners want more in this section and typically I have plenty. 5★'s are not easily given by me but the marinara was the minor issue that needs attention. I realize it's provided by a distributor and lowers bottom line but pay close attention to your competition (J to the E to the T to the 'S) they do not sacrifice on price or quality and you guys compete on their level and to me that's a complement. My opinion is you should provide a cup of your pizza sauce to patrons and toss the prepackaged cold stuff that is falsely representative of your excellent pizza sauce

4. First and last impressions of my dining/takeout/delivery experience ★★★★★ You won me! I'm your customer! Good job guys! I respect your food, your style, your employees and your decor! let's leave out the dipping sauce mentioned above (marinara) in this section!

Lastly, all I've got to say that's less than positive is bulk dipping sauce! Otherwise It's safe to say you're doing well!

DONT BOTHER CALLING! Ridiculous phone call, never got around to ordering anything because we couldn't get past our address, in Hermitage, in huge subdivision....Villages of Riverwood. After being put on hold several times, being disconnected (or hung up on) we gave up trying to place an order for delivery with this place. The big problem...... We are in a new house and the map they were using doesn't have our address on it. Our street ends on many maps 5 or 6 houses before ours. I assured them the house was here, the street goes all the way thru now and they would have no problem finding it and getting here. The young lady then put a manager on the line and he then told me they didn't deliver to the "left side of Dodson Chapel." Are you kidding me?? Told him we are on the east side and that we saw one of their delivery cars in the neighborhood a few minutes ago while out walking the dog. That really flustered him! It became clear that they couldn't handle the "problem" and we told them we'd order from Dominos, Sals or Mozzarella's who deliver here all the time. I've never had a more ridiculous call with another human being...or 2, first a young girl who needed her manager to override and then the man who advised no delivery on "left side" of Dodson Chapel...the manager? After that, I wouldn't order from here if it was the best pizza in Nashville! Absolutely beyond belief.....sorry Marcos, we order pizza at least once a week, but we won't be...

I like Marcos Pizza, but the last 5-6 times I have ordered from this location they were very very slow getting my order to me. This last time, I order 11/2 hours before hand. At time of delivery, it says they are constructing my pizza. Guess I need to find somewhere with better service. Based on my recent experience, shouldn’t be hard. To top everything off, I called to inquire about my order, was given a myriad of excuses including they only had one driver. I said it sounds like you need to hire some people. The smart azz little girl said, would you like to work. No, I wouldn’t. I have been working for 45 years and in my current profession for 34 years. Absolutely abysmal!

Edit: Not sure why the owner responded and requested that I fill out a feedback form so they could “follow-up” Never followed up with me. Another waste of my time. Guess they want to make folks that read these reviews think they...
