You can find me at Neighborlily on any given Saturday morningâand usually a few times during the week between, too. It was a happy accident to stumble in here while I was house hunting last year, and itâs now part of my husbandâs and my routine to pop in. Weâve watched it blossom from a coffee, flower, and gift shop to now being a standout cafĂ©. We love seeing locals and visitors alike pop in to experience their unique drink menu and get to know the staff weâve come to love so quickly.
The atmosphere is as warm and welcoming as the staff, the seasonal menus are as innovative as they are delectable. I usually try at least 2-3 of each seasonâs drink menu, but the staff knows I also very often default to the all-season signature Hey Neighbor latte (thank you for bearing with me through all my âtough decisionsâ that ultimately land exactly where you think they will). The maple whipped cream with smoked bourbon salt may very well have changed my life. Take that as your sign that you really canât go wrong with the drinks!
The food menu is also wonderful. I loved how robust it was when it first rolled out, but theyâve understandably rolled it back to a smaller number of the most-ordered items. Itâs a very small kitchen, but their cook does a wonderful job! The breakfast bowl with pesto ricotta is my favorite, but I love to indulge in the breakfast burrito from time-to-time, too.
Do yourself a favor and stop in next time youâre in town. Iâd recommend to do it when you have time to savor the drinks and the experience. My favorite is a spring morning on their outdoor patio. Bring your pup, bring a friend, and enjoy the unique and ethereal experience that is...
Read moreI'm not sure why this is labeled as a florist because truly it is a coffee shop. I didn't get coffee so I can't speak to that. I showed up and there wasn't any other customers in the store. I was looking to get a nice bouquet for my daughters birthday. I spoke to a lady that worked there about what I was looking for. A customer walked in to get coffee and the lady that worked there said let me go take her order and I'll be right back. No problem, I waited. Then, another group of four people walked in to order coffee. She finished making the first 2 coffee and immediately moved on to the next group of four making their beverages. It was like she totally forgot about me. The flowers aren't cheap either. A nice bouquet was going to cost about $100 based on the prices I was looking at. I was surprised she was more concerned about the lattes vs. $100 bouquet. Didn't make sense to me so I just left and went to an...
Read moreI went to neighborlily today and was pleasantly surprised. I thought that because this shop is both a store and a coffee shop, that the drinks were going to be lower quality than a shop that focuses solely on coffee. I was SO wrong. Neighborlily uses 8th and roast coffee for their espresso and other espresso- based drinks and the crew makes all of their syrups from scratch. The house has a separate kitchen where the crew preps the syrups and bakes all of the pastries daily. On top of that, there is a variety of drink options to choose from that vary from the standard seasonal flavors offered at cafes. The barista serving me today was chipper and knowledge. The house also has a porch were you can enjoy your drink after doing some flower shopping. I went around 12:00 and there were plenty of spots open. I am excited to come back and try more of their...
