Cracker barrel is always great for hearty portions of delicious comfort food. The recent price increase hurt though even if they have added booze to the menu. This location has ample parking and is near the mall. Love that when it's cold out they will have the fireplace going. Service at this location remains hit and miss though. This visit It took nearly 30 minutes for our soft drinks to be brought out. Hot cocoa was unmixed so the first sip was just scalding water. Then 5 minutes later food comes out missing its garnish. Sadly things like this are not unusual occurrences but I've also had wonderful attentive service as well. So if you get a good server it's a perfectly fine experience. My best dishes are chicken and dumplings, (maybe with a side of dumplings) the fried chicken, chicken and rice, or pancakes. The hashbrown casserole is a must for side dishes and if you like turnip greens they have some of the best. Get a little apple cider vinegar to add to the turnip greens. I would not recommend the current country fried turkey special, just get the usual country fried steak. Overall a great place for a family meal, just hope you get one of those servers with all the stars on their apron.

What can I say, our server Dany was so sweet, not only did she have a super cool name, she also had a can do attitude and was not afraid to learn as she went, which is kinda my MO as well. The manager was attentive and polite, clearly knowledgeable about CrackerbarrellSpecifications and general understanding for the guest. When I am rich, I'm gonna buy so much things from the CBshop, like every pair of granny jammies they ever put out and I'll buy the little girl clothes and just give them away, I'll buy so many toys, the extra cool ones and if I don't know a kid directly, which seems unlikely, I'll give to the angle trees and last min toy shops. Cause Cracker Barrell toys are hands down THE BEST. I'll buy candy their at least once a week. Always in store and always serious. That's me. For now, i do love the pretty things they got right now, they have the prettiest snail light up sparkle snow globe type thang thang. I've recently got into snails and I've been into snow globes for like ever.

We walked right in, happy as could be after a nice, long stroll around those nearby famous places. We herded ourselves like free range cows through the junk store as usual and up to the host station. About five servers were scurryin' around a house full o' diners like flies on bovine patties; each looked over and saw us fanning ourselves. The checkout lady saw us standing there, nobody in her line. A finely dressed man came out from the kitchen area, walked right past us like we were invisible over to the cashier lady and started talking with her; I'm guessing he was a store manager or something. I stared at the button for several long moments debating whether to pick up that reciever, mash that button like a Hazard County Sheriff, and begin reporting the whereabouts of them Duke boys... Snapped out of it, dream was over, time to leave without saying goodbye. Had to race on back to our 10-wheel hoop-T, bust ol' Cooter outta jail and save Miss Daisy from Roscoe's hound dog again.

Today I experienced my worst CB experience at store #CB0013 and the issues continued even after reports to the manager. When we entered the restaurant there was already a family of four seated and having their order taken by the server. She eventually came to get our drink orders and returned with an overflowing Smores Latte, which she placed on the table and offered no assistance with cleaning up, not even going to get additional napkins. After placing our food order, we and the other tables continued to wait, without updates, for our food and watched as other guests were seated and left without acknowledgement. At one point the server made an appreance, only to grab an item off of a table that was being bussed, and then retreated as she promised the unacknowledged guests that she would be right with them. A few minutes passed and another server, not server 1, greeted the guest and it was at this point, 40 - 50 minute wait, we sought assistance from a manger at the front hostess stand. The hostess made an announcement on her walkie talkie, seconds later, 3-4 individuals emerged from the back of house, where the cook window appeared full of waiting food. Our concerns were expressed and the manager reported that she would check on the food. The manager never returned, nor did she make any rounds on the floor. Minutes after this complaint was reported, the family of 4 received their food, immediately followed by ours, although we ordered several minutes apart. Our food that included but was not limited to eggs, fried fish, and steak tips were cold. We had to ask our server multiple times for plastic utensils as our silverware was dirty. I also ordered a pink lemonade spritzer that featured a specific miscato, this was NOT the brand brought to the table for my lukewarm drink. We hurried to eat our food and then asked for boxes, the server never asked if we needed anything else, which was fine since we decided not to place togo orders due to the horrible service. As we were exiting the dining area, we could observe several staff members standing around, talking, and using expletives. We further expressed our concerns at check out but declined to speak to a manager, again, as it was clear it would do no good. For clarification, the restaurant was not busy and we have no idea where the server repeatedly kept disappearing to and...

I want to start By saying, I’ve never had anybody so blatantly inconsiderate, and to be honest, quite rude and heartless.. But, I travel quite often so usually when I do, I will utilize Cracker Barrel’s (usually private) parking lot along with other RVs, travelers etc. I also want to say that I have a service animal that travels with me and he alerts me if I am possibly going to have an anaphylactic seizure. And this morning he did just that. He alerted me that I needed to take my medication (in a timely manner but nothing extremely urgent) yet I didn’t have anything to take it with like water, juice etc. I ever so politely asked the lady manager whom had let a gentleman out of the back door this morning to take out trash if I could possibly have a small cup of ice water simply so I could take my medication and hopefully not suffer from having a seizure in the parking lot… Me: may I possibly have a small cup of water so I can take my medication? Manager of Cracker Barrel: ABSOLUTELY NOT! Me: 😳🥺complete shock as to why I was not okay spoken too in such a manner however I was also just in awe at how someone could be just so callous 😭. I not only had to lye down on the pavement outside of the gas station next door after finally taking my medication but simply because it took me a while to be able to take my medication I had to take preventative measures that are usually not taken so I would in fact not have a full blown seizure!

I want to say I am at fault for not being slightly better prepared when it comes to “water, juice, beverages In general for taking my medication” although I also am still in a sense of shock around the idea of someone being completely okay with letting another individual (A HUMAN BEING!) just have a seizure !!! The sheer callousness and lack of empathy towards others still has me in tears almost 😢🥺.. Do better Cracker Barrel, you have full authority over how your guest are treated! And I’ll be honest.. I didn’t catch the managers name this morning but she’s wearing a purple blouse…

.. and built...

As a former Cracker Barrel employee from Chattanooga location, this was by far the worse Cracker Barrel experience I have ever had! Me and my family went here after the event Disney on ice. They were not busy although we had to wait 55 mins for our table. Then we were told there was only one server and the wait would be a little longer. We had toddlers with us that were getting fussy and had waited so long we said fine. That's fine we understand. Once we got seated finally after 120 mins, our server was all over the place. Also might I add. There were 5 servers in the floor not 1. However, OUR server was taking our orders and was like "yeah your not getting white gravy with your mashed potatoes because brown gravy is the way to go!" After explaining that two of our party members didnt like brown gravy , she brought it anyways. She changed some of our sides and said, "they are better this way!" Alot of our food was dry, cold, not edible and not to mention NOT what we ordered. We were so beyond disappointed as this point we just wanted to get out of there. Hardly any of us ate anything off our plates due to the server taking over our option as customers to order what WE wanted. $130 dollars later and leaving after the horrible service from our server wanting to decide what we ate , we ordered pizza to our hotel and ate that. Upper management, please please please fix this issue! It is not okay for the server to order for their customers , it is not okay to go against judgement of what the customer orders and wants, also it is not okay to just give customers whatever sides because you think they go good with said dish. I expect a return comment with a way to email the manager and speak with him or her about this issue. I served for Cracker Barrel for 12 years and this is not the "Cracker Barrel" way. Not even remotely close to it. Horribly disappointed doesn't even explain how we felt...
