Ate here with a friend for the first time last week. I just got 2 chicken tacos & he got some mondo-huge sammich with all sorts of pork (the name escapes me). My tacos were so mouthwateringly good! All of the authentic Mexican street food flavors we're there in full color, & the sauces that came on the side perfectly complemented the meat. And I was fully satisfied with the 2 small tacos I ordered, although I have to admit, I may have a rather small appetite at times. But dinner out for $2.50? Sign me up! My buddy's giant meat-stuffed sandwich was impressive looking & he said it was very tasty. It seemed like an attractive price, too, at $6 or $7. He does have a "manly" appetite & he had leftovers, for sure. The young man that took our order was very friendly, clean, and professional. He seemed happy to exchange some small talk for a few minutes while we waited for our food (which was a short wait). During our conversation, I took a look at a cooler along the back wall. It was host to maybe 10, or so, glass bottled varieties of Mexican sodas. Yum. One way or another, I think I'm going to work through the menu here & try a little bit of everything when I have a couple bucks, hunger, & land in West Nashville. Highly recommended. Check it out if you are in the mood for...
Read moreAmazing sopes! I got sopes de lengua, tan ríca! Coming from Los Angeles of course I was missing Mexican food. I was surprised by the authenticity. Of course I can't compare this place to ones in LA or homemade goodies but around here, it's pretty darn good. I'd come back here anyday! Plus the service is excellent and the bonus is I get to practice my Spanish. I'm a bit rusty but I can get away with just enough to form a semi complete sentence and have a back and forth conversation. To the guy that rated this place a one star, GOOGLE translate!! That's what your smart phone is for man... Gotta meet people halfway dude... Not that hard, if you want to experience authenticity over white washed restaurants.. My only quarrel with giving it less than 5 star is the fact that pupusa is listed in the menu. For people who are not well hearsed in Latin food. Pupusas are a specialty of the Salvadorean peeps. So of course the pupusa was not good... But please, don't let this little issue deter you from going. GO! Get the regular stuff like the sopes and the tacos. Be more adventurous and try the different meats like lengua,...
Read moreMy original post is below back when he 1st opened. Now a year later it's the types of people visiting it now and the refinement and friendliness and customized care that make me hes really got a ppl ace now! Read 1st post below: Well, it's authentic, inexpensive, unique, flavorful both culturally and foodwise. They have mexican coke in bottles with natural sugar versus frucctose corn syrup cokes. I likee the corditas myself, and suggest the green sauces on the side to manage bite-by-bite, because natural means inconsistency sometimes nd one drop of the sauce may not exactly match the next, annd the onions toucching the peppers willc arry their flaovr and intensity. Awesome experience through food delivery apps or live, great afterschool...
