My family will be forever grateful for this Taziki's location in Bellevue, TN.
We had a wedding shower scheduled Saturday for an early lunch to accommodate some of the guests that were attending. We chose Taziki's, had an online confirmation order, and even worked with the Nashville area catering manager to plan, prep, and deliver our meal.
The caterer was supposed to be at the venue by 10:30 AM so guests could start eating at 11:00. However, at 10:45, they still hadn't arrived and we weren't aware of which Taziki's brick and mortar location was supposed to be preparing, delivering, and setting up the food for display. We started calling the closest Taziki's locations to us and nobody was answering the phone. By 10:50 AM, I was in the car and driving to the closest one - not the Bellevue location. When I arrived at approximately 11:10, I asked for the person in charge of catering. The manager helped me, looked into the catering system, and didn't see our order in their queue. The manager also noted the phone line for this specific location had been down for two days, which is why we weren't able to make contact when calling.
By this time, my family members had called me and noted the Bellevue location had graciously offered to start preparing a truncated version of our order to be able to get it back to the venue as quickly as possible for our guests. We gladly accepted and the Bellevue Taziki's noted the food would be ready in about 30 minutes for pick-up. So, I jumped back in the car and headed across town to pick up the order.
It was nearly ready when I arrived and, while the order wasn't perfect (how could it be when it was put together so quickly?), we were barely able to feed our guests before the shower ended at 1:00 PM.
The Bellevue Taziki's really got us out of a jam even though they weren't the ones who were supposed to prepare the order. They worked vigorously to get us a meal prepped for the shower. The team literally sweated their tails off, rushing to get everything together.
For the record, the nearer Taziki's location also offered to start scrambling together our order. Although, by the time I got there, the other shower party hosts had made contact with the Bellevue location.
It turns out, there was a system glitch and our order never made it through the queue. It probably had something to do with the one store's phone lines being down and most of the rest of their technology. Everyone involved at Taziki's, both stores and the catering manager, sincerely and heartily apologized for the inconvenience and deeply discounted our order.
Again, Taziki's - Bellevue, thank you so much! We will be visiting you again;...
Read moreTo be clear, I didn’t have high expectations for a world class meal, it’s fast food Mediterranean. I typically like it enough, but first time to this location. Overall, mediocre, even for Taziki standards. I was the only one in the restaurant when I placed my order. Between when I placed my order and received it, only 1 online order was placed in the waiting bay, and it still took over 20 minutes to get my food. My order was one feast of lamb. Someone else came in behind me by almost 10 minutes and their order of 3 feasts none were lamb (easy to hear being only one in there) came out at the same time as mine. I was able to clearly see they had a fully staffed kitchen crew, so no idea what took so long. Meat was way overdone and dry and really chewy, rice was barely over half the cup, and also way dry. Definitely not anywhere close to $20. Portion was awful and I was still hungry and had to make more when I got home. Staff was friendly and everything else is what you’d expect. We’ll see if this gets an update. I left a review for them on their review...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I came to this location today and he ordered a lamb burger. He did not realize that the taziki is more of a thicker texture and not a sauce base. I went up to the counter to get it remade and the man who did not take our order said “okay we’ll get that remade for you”. Then the women who did take our order, Megan, came out with the same burger and started arguing with us, listing off the things that my boyfriend didn’t want on it and said “you didn’t say no Taziki, you said you wanted the Taziki” and I said I’m sorry but he just won’t eat it so can we please get it remade? And she stormed off. I work in the restaurant industry and if I would have said that to a guest/customer I would have been immediately fired. I was baffled. She might make a better back of house staff member than FOH, far away from customers. The other staff members were...
