Pros: The food on the original tea experience menu was fabulous. I truly believe the chef is talented. The tea menu is expansive and appears to be house made, or maybe locally sourced. The vibes were fabulous. Small and quiet, I feel it does deserve the cottage label. The little trickents for purchase around the cottage are on theme and local.
The cons: Service was severely lacking for my table. Examples are as follows: We had to ask for every piece of silverware. Legitimately we were given one fork and one knife for our entire table. This was not finger food. We were not told anything about how to pick out the tea despite us checking in at the front and being directed to our table. It took over 15 minutes for anyone to give us any direction. The direction was "Have you picked out your teas yet?" We explained that we hadn't been told to pick out tea nor given a list, and the response was "They're on the wall" (in the other room). I would've appreciated a polite acknowledgement of the mixup and more direction. When I reserved our table, I was asked about dietary concerns, which I gave. Despite both written and verbal confirmation (on the required phone call to schedule a reservation) the dietary concerns were not accomodated for in advance. The substitutions given, while a great attempt, were lacking. (A sandwich with only one topping, meat, was given in exchange of a quiche. There weren't any condiments on it. While the bread and meat were tasty, it still was a bummer given the notice I gave, and the rest of the table's menu.).
Given the cost and how far in advance we reserved, I don't feel the service was appropriate. Aesthetics, immaculate. Service, subpar. I would love to see this unique...

Read moreCame for the first time with a friend for a tea party. Booking was straightforward simple. The interior is captivating, and you can tell each item was hand-selected and placed just so. The decor was magical and cozy. I could have sat there drinking tea all day! Aside from the atmosphere, the food was fantastic. Loads of tea choices (you can pick two each for your tea party) served with cream and honey in adorable swan dishes. We received a three-tier serving dish filled with sweet and savory delights. The sandwiches were delicious - I especially loved the peach preserve one. The sweets were perfect - we had shortbread, scones, and lemon posset. The lemon posset was truly to die for. I will think about that one for awhile. All in all, a wonderful and unique experience that I look forward to sharing with more friends and family. The gift shop was awesome I got the cutest wildlife coasters. There is something for everyone in the gift shop, great selection. Thank you to the staff for the most...
