I went out to spend some time with parties who where leaving town, so we went out after work. A lot of places are not open when I get off of work, so I had a limited selection. The sign above the place was situated above another door. And there was a man dressed in manager's attire outside of the door, on the phone, Before we entered we were asked our destination. I told the man where we were headed and he directed... The man directed me into the restaurant. When we walked through the door everyone was looked at us. No one seated us. So, I assumed that we had to seat ourselves. There was no one behind the bar and the girl dressed in all black (which I am assuming was a waitress) was going back and forth between the kitchen and the dining area. Eventually, the bartender gets up from the other side of the bar where the patrons were sitting, and gets behind the bar. I just knew then we were going to be acknowledged. He continued to ignore us., as did the waitress. After about 10 mins with no service. I decided to go somewhere else. As soon as I got in my car, the bartender steps out of the door we just left through (which is right next to the table we were sitting at). He wouldn't come over that way until we left. This type of thing is hurtful. We were the only people of color in the place and we were the only ones NOT being served... Screw you Rolling River Bistro! I ask all of you who who live in, or visit Natchez, not to go to this...
Read moreWe went for the Mother’s Day Brunch it was very busy! The wait staff were polite but they will look at you stand around without assistance. Finally we sat at the bar! No one asked if we wanted drinks. I flagged someone down for drinks. Next the buffet I love being served at the buffet. I was looking forward to shrimp and grits they had none. Items that we mentioned on the flyer were not on the buffet bar. My mom is a picky eater, we wanted to go there for the variety. The Fried chicken is always on point! Hats off to the chef, however the rice was mushy, and the Italian dressing had a funny taste. The sweet potatoes were good. The Mac and cheese was ok, not a fan. The sweet tea was not sweet and they had no sugar to sweeten it. We didn’t have any dessert because I guess we didn’t have a waitress so there was no banana pudding in the jar. It looked good. We were told there were brownies however we never received any. The young lady next to us received brownies and banana pudding. We didn’t get the loving care we always get when we visit. I will not go back during a busy time! We were ready to leave and I stood at the end of the bar for 10 minutes waiting for someone to check us out, everyone was very busy, just looking at me stand at the bar with no acknowledgement! Finally I started waiving my arms asking for help and a young lady checked me...
Read moreOur group has stopped here 2 years in a row on the way to Monroe LA. It has become an important part of our trip. Downtown Natchez is beautiful and historical. This beautiful restaurant, located in a historic building in downtown Natchez is an excellent addition. The entire staff here is so warm and friendly. We have a large group so we order ahead of time. And the food does not disappoint. 🥦🥕 🥗 🍲. This past week we had smothered pork chops, chicken wings, mixed vegetables, green beans, and tossed salad, rolls and cornbread, Mac and cheese, rice and gravy, BBQ ribs (yum) many other dishes. We have some with dietary restrictions but there are always dishes that accommodate. If you leave RRR hungry, it's your own fault. And the deserts!!! The desserts were incredible. We had red velvet, carrot and chocolate cake. And warm peach cobbler. Even the unsweet tea was the best I have ever drank. The entire staff is so friendly. The architecture of the older building is artwork in itself. We look forward to making this stop for our annual trip and we'll come back other...
