🚨READ FOR BRUTAL HONEST REVIEW!🚨
Stop if you are a tourist or a visitor or a normal person please you must stop here. It is so fun and such a charming little place! You gotta do it. I kinda went here on a whim with some friends. The staff was so personal and friendly and fun. I got the simple waffle and let me tell you it was not a simple experience. Basically have you ever had a dream were everything is perfect and life is amazing and you are so happy and you do something that brings pure happiness? Well that’s how it was for me but when I woke up It was still real life. It was dreamlike. I think they may have this place in the celestial kingdom. But I guess we will see. Maybe I’ll pray for that. Also I haven’t met the staff before today but shout out too Abrie, Carmen, and Emma the staff their. My only complain I have of this place is a worry that now that I can’t eat there anymore that I’m going to sink into a deep abyss of depression as I fall into a void of sadness and withdrawal as other food doesn’t taste as good and life becomes colorless and meaningless. But even if that does happen I sit look up at the sunset and think to myself somewhere out there still stays Anne’s frozen custard. A slight smile crossed my face. My eyes watered a little bit as the warm golden rays glistened in the sky. Though it was just a memory the smell of the warm waffles filled my mind and a feeling of hope filled my future. And it will...
Read moreSo disappointed, will not return. This place was awesome before the pandemic. They have since remodeled and got rid of the napkin fan art that would make stopping by worthwhile so don't come looking for it. As for the experience itself, it took over 20 minutes to get our four simple cups served to us and there weren't even any other customers in the shop. The reason for the delay is (prepare yourself, I'm not even kidding) they literally use a scale and will measure and adjust whatever is on your cone or cup as many times as necessary so that you get the EXACT amount they want to give you. The stingy vibe was a total turn off, and it felt weird to see someone taking ice cream OUT of my bowl before it was given to me 'ere they give me a quarter ounce more, heaven forbid. Not to mention that by the time they've quadruple checked that they gave you the right amount, your custard is half melted. The flavors are good but they do not justify the price or the penny-pinching vibe!!! The audacity to charge the amount they do for the tiny, over-measured scoops they give is just astonishing. My honest advice? Save yourself the disappointment and go to the red restaurant across the street to get an ice cream brick instead; even with the crazy long lines you'll probably get your treat faster, and the prices and amounts are way...
Read moreMy two daughters are neurodivergent and extremely picky eaters, so it can be a serious hassle finding somewhere to eat on vacation. The girls in the shop absolutely rocked it!
We struggled with finding somewhere for our picky eaters to settle down and eat, as they dislike burgers, fries, or really anything they can’t watch being made. My girls saw the toasted cheese and were so excited. Big props to the owner for understanding that sometimes children just need something simple when at a restaurant!
We had the sweetest helper, Ms. Josie! My girls had a lot of questions about how their grilled cheese was made, and she crouched down to their level and explained the entire process, and said that she can take any kind of cheese they don’t like off. This made my girls so happy, and she even said we were welcome to watch her make it. Being able to watch your food be made is pretty interesting, especially for two neurodivergent girls who have the hardest time eating. After eating our dinner, we enjoyed a conversation with Josie about the difference between ice cream and custard, and she even showed the girls the custard coming out of the machine! I hope she knows how great of an experience my two girls had while at Annie’s, and that she will definitely excel in becoming...
