Emily's Ice Cream — Restaurant in Nazareth

This was my first visit. I was surprised to see him crowded they were at 7:30pm but I took that as a good sign. There were two staff on duty and they were doing their best to keep up with demand. One had to go in the back for a while. I think she was decorating a cake. There was a good amount of flavors to choose from. They even had sugar free and vegan choices. They also had several cone choices including pretzel and chocolate. After waiting 15 minutes to order, I decided on a Sundae of my own creation in a waffle dish. The staff was polite and friendly and kept smiling through it all. Once I was able to order, my Sundae was ready in a jiffy and payment was taken immediately. (I don't like it when places make me wait in line again to pay for my order.) The Double Chocolate Mint ice cream was delicious and the waffle dish was absolutely scrumptious! Management - you are a mess! Ordered a 10 in cake online and received a confirmation email the next day that my online order was submitted. I had a special request for sweet 16. No one answered the phone midday when I called to discuss my order and they didn’t return my call. I assumed they were closed for business so I bought a cake elsewhere. Then 30 min after my requested pick up time I got a call saying they had a 9 in cake in chocolate and vanilla if we wanted it but they couldn’t do any special decoration. I accepted since the other cake we bought was not ice cream. My husband went to pick up and the 16 year old at the counter said they don’t have a box for the cake. W-What?? He talked the girl into getting anything to cover the cake so it wouldn’t be exposed for the car ride home. She found a large sheet cake box and when it got home the roses and writing on top were smeared off because the box was too shallow and the freshly added decorations were soft. Although I do feel bad for them being understaffed, I did not have a very good experience. There was only one girl behind the counter the whole time with a line of people. Poor girl was running around with her head cut off, but was very calm as she worked through it all. I had 3 different choices of ice cream flavors that I had in mind that I wanted, but when I went up to the freezer they were out of all 3! No more Chocolate peanut butter fudge, chocolate marshmallow, and chocolate peanut butter. My family and I also walked into the shop to a group of obnoxious little girls screaming, dancing, and jumping around which was very irritating, and probably to the one girl working too. I do not blame the one girl that was working what so ever for this poor experience she was very sweet and stayed calm under the pressure. But I do blame Emily’s poor management.
