We had a sub-par experience here yesterday. It had been a while since we'd ordered here and couldn't remember why. Now I do. Hubby went in person to order and carry out. He placed the order and was told it would be just a few minutes, which turned into 45 minutes. 45 minutes for him to examine a store-front in great need of a deep cleaning.
Still, the people working were very nice and thanked him for waiting when they finally gave him our food. Upon his arrival at home we discovered that he was not given our correct order. We received two entrees, three orders of crab Rangoon, two orders of dumplings and one carton of rice. He had ordered (and paid for) three entrees, one which included shrimp... It was late, I was quite hangry and they close at 9 anyway so no way to rectify.
We ate some. The sweet and sour chicken was hard, dense, and when combined with the sauce was incredibly bland. How can sweet and sour be bland? The beef and snow peas was edible enough, but again, bland. And, the beef wasn't scattered throughout the peas, but rather it was in a few distinct clumps of beef. It just was odd. The crab Rangoon were crazy sweet. Not a normal level of delicate sweetness that should be present in crab Rangoon. I couldn't eat more than 2, and I love, love, love crab rangoon. (AND we had 3 packages of them). The dumplings could have been the lone salvation as they tasted great, but unfortunately they were packaged with the dipping sauce sitting on top of the dumplings, and the tops had come off the sauces in both dishes, so the dumplings were over-saturated in the sauce that should have been an accompaniment.
We definitely did not get our money's worth considering what we paid for and what we ended up with. I hope the other people truly enjoyed their meal, but I thought a review warranted so maybe the next time I can remember why we don't want to go here. It's worth the extra time to...
Read moreUpdate: I threw up after about twenty minutes of injesting their food. The delivery driver did not wear a mask.
What a joke dude. I don't even know what's wrong about wanting your food before an hour and a half. I called after an hour of placing my order, prepared that it typically takes 45 minutes to deliver. I was told by a woman, who didn't address herself by name, that my food would take another half an hour because they just got their machine up.
For a moment, I accepted this fate but then called them back and informed them that I did not want to wait and wanted a refund instead. I immediately was accosted by the same woman I just spoke with and it was quite clear that "friendliness" was not her forte. Her story then changed to say "Do you want the food now or wait?" I told her, "You just informed me that it would take 30 minutes" she then changed her story and said that the food was ready now and that they had planned to have my order wait until their next customers order was also ready to be delivered"
When I said, "Well then yeah." Quick to get me off the phone she tried to say goodbye but I interrupted with, "Obviously I don't want to wait any longer. How much longer?" She then YELLED AT ME and said, "I DON'T KNOW HOW FAR I AM TO YOUR HOUSE"
I told her that I would expect it within ten minutes since we were in the same town and then politely ended the...
Read moreThese people called my sister the day after she placed an order to tell her they were blocking her number and argued with her that there was no King Wok in our town(even after she apologized) because she called and ordered from the wrong one by mistake. She was just as confused when she showed up to the one in our area and her order wasn't ready, but the service was very great as usual at the one here. As a business, I couldn't imagine being so confidently wrong on the locations of other businesses of the same name within at LEAST 50 miles and then calling a customer back to argue with them about a business with the exact same name not existing (when it clearly does, that's why I'm here, because my sister is too nice to call people out for being silly for no good reason) and telling them you're blocking them for a simple human error when restaurants throw away tons of food for various reasons at the end of the day without being affected financially but go off, King Wok in specifically Neenah since you don't believe any other ones exist apparently. Seems like she's not the only one who has had to deal with your rude service, as well. She felt so terrible about it, too, but I don't for leaving this review on her behalf. That was a weird move. Do better,...
