Algoberto's Mexican Food — Restaurant in Nevada

You’d think there’d be plenty of good Mexican spots in Henderson, but not so. There are a few good ones and lots of okayish ones. This place is one of the really good ones for fast casual options.

Drove by so many times saying I’d try it. Finally did and it didn’t disappoint. If you want some good Mexican grub definitely give em a try.

They have drive thru and a dining area. Place is mostly clean but could be a few touch ups here and there. Order at the counter, no waiters which is fine. A bit loud inside with music so if you want quiet take it to go. Pepsi products but some Coke in bottles.

Food is excellent. Had the carne asada fries. It’s huge. Enough for 2-3 peeps. Fries are perfect size. Tons of toppings including tasty meat. Everything mixes up nicely. Also had the chile verde (green sauce pork). Super tasty and a bit spicy but not enough to make it too hot. Very rich flavor. Rice and beans were good too.

It’s a little pricey but you get so much food; it’s at least 2 meal’s worth or more. So the value is good for the price. Again, two or more people could easily split a meal.

Overall it’s a winner. Small spot on eastern by the madhouse coffee. Will be back for sure whenever the craving for Mexican...

First time visiting this place and based on reviews thought why not. Never again will I spend my valued cash at this place. When I pulled up it was 1 car ahead of me so I'm thinking I'm gonna finish up this email I was doing for work while listening to my jams as I pick up my breakfast burrito I preordered. Car leaves I approach the window and a Old Lady and a young girl come to window.

Old Lady withheld my food to yell at me like she knew my momma because I didn't walk in to get MY order. Being I was raised to respect my elders I just let her rant and when she was finished I said ok and started to drive off so I could cancel my order online. She must have caught my vibe then said wait wait and stretched out window to give me my order.

I'm super big on customer service and pride myself on respecting others so in turn I receive the same. I didn't see a problem with driving through the drive thru for pickup to pickup my order 🤣🤣 first time ever experiencing this type of situation. Nonetheless I will not be returning food was basic but customer service ruined the experience. Old...

Update 4/5/21: - 2 stars. Had to take it down a bit due to my last few orders.

Still very good food in general & one of the most flavorful Mexican spots in the city when they're on point. Always friendly service. Carne Asada was top notch but they recently made some changes that took it down (smaller pieces, a touch more dry). Chili Verde pork still good but not quite as flavorful as it was. Pickled carrots and the hot sauces are still top notch. Used to be my #1 Mexican spot. TacoMan Grill further down the way took their spot. Flavorful Birria, great prices as well.

I had to revisit my review as unfortunately my chili Verde pork breakfast burrito keeps getting smaller with less and less meat, plus kind of dry the last few times, so will have to givem a break for a bit, I used to frequent them several times a week. Can't do a burrito full of potatoes (actually this one was just pitiful---soo much extra tortilla it almost wrapped around twice), not my cup of tea, Im a protein dude --- Disappointed... I need to lose some...
