The Original Sunrise Cafe has a variety of breakfast offerings. Their eggs benedicts do not have English muffins as a base and they baste the eggs instead of poached. I was here for the Eggs Benedict so I had a lot of questions before I ordered. My choice was 2 eggs easy with Canadian bacon on bagels with the hollandaise sauce. My review is only of the Benedicts, nothing else. Alex was my waiter was very pleasant and helpful. With that in mind, I will let you know that have a "top ten" list for Benedicts. They have different Bennys and this gave me a chance to try these made differently. Here we go..... My rating is based on 3 weights : 70% = taste 20% = presentation 10% = price #1 - taste: They use Canadian bacon. The eggs were requested easy and was presented closer to medium/hard. The staff took the eggs and replaced them with easy eggs. The Hollandaise sauce was made from scratch and was not overly tangy but smooth and flavorful. The only issue I had with the sauce it was barely warm on the side of being cold. The reason I review Eggs Benedict is because of the difference in the flavor of the Hollandaise sauce and the presentation. Their hash browns were thick sliced not shredded. They were seasoned nicely. All of this brought the review to 3 stars. #2 -presentation : It was good . #3-price: $12.99 is a good price with hash browns. Coffee for $3.25 a cup seems to be the norm in a lotta places. As I ate my breakfast I was able to watch the kitchen manager (Glenn) at the pass. He was making sure that all the customers meals were prepared correctly and presented the same. I was impressed by the way he handled that. After a while I was able to speak with him about the cold Hollandaise sauce. He explained that the sauce was kept at room temperature to keep it from coagulating. With my familiarity with Hollandaise sauce I understood what he was saying. He was more than happy to listen to what I had to say and told me the next time I come in to just ask them to make the Hollandaise sauce hot. The way Glenn handled the situation brought my review up to four stars. Unfortunately these did not make my top ten list. I recommend you try the eggs benedict with the bagel as a base. It was very tasty. Explain that you would like to have the sauce warmed. Sorry for the long review but was needed.

Summary: I would highly recommend this spot for breakfast. Excellent food, better than what we have back home and we go to the best breakfast places back home (Chandler, AZ), Fantastic ownership and Good service with the wait staff being very freindly in spite of the busy atmosphere, Facilities were clean with the kitchen exposed should you choose to take a peek. Detail: Facility - Restraunt is larger than it appears from the outside, parking is adequate with a couple close handicap parking spots. Waiting area outside which is also an outdoor eating are but it's record level heat this week so mainly used as a waiting area. Restrooms are avaliable Staff - The owner Andrew stopped by and warmly greeted us...Love to support local family businesses. They are all very freindly, signs of a good team exhibited which usually means good management with our waiter covering for a team making things run smoother. Only issue we had was the waiter forgot one item but the food came quickly and his positive attitude made up for the oversight. Food - Some of the best breakfast I have had, I had the crunchberry French toast which is now my official new favorite. It's too bad we don't have one of these back home. My wife created her own omlette which was fantastic and they offer an assortment of hollandaise which is temperamental. Overall amazing food quality

My experience at the Sunrise cafe was fantastic. There was a decently long line, but it only took us about 20 minutes to get seated. Downside is we were seated outside and it was a little bit nippy, but fortunately we are seated right in the Sun. The staff here were very attentive and very quick to check up on us and get our orders as well as making sure to keep our drinks full. We decided to start out with their muffin of the day, which was the blueberry muffin. It was a gigantic one that they apparently cut in half and then Grill. It is also made in-house, which definitely shows as both the texture and taste of the muffin were fantastic. Personally I went with the make your own omelette, I put in Swiss cheese, steak, spinach, Sunrise grilled onions, and avocado. My sides were hash browns and sourdough toast. The hash browns were practically perfect. They weren't overly cooked and weren't saturated eith oil. You could easily taste the potatoe in them. The sourdough toast was just like all sourdough. The omelette came out fantastic. The avocado was fresh, the steak was cooked and seasoned well. The sunrise grilled onions were sauteed onions made in house, and I do recommend getting them! The restrooms were clean, however there were only 2 which caused quite a wait. Overall score 4.5 out of 5
