The zeppoli was very tasty but just a bit doughy/undercooked. But the dough flavor was excellent. I also like that their zeppolis are small and more bite sized, whereas a lot of places are getting lazy and making them bigger and bigger.
The spaghetti sauce was quite watery, but the flavor was okay.
The chicken wings are very good. Some might say "overcooked," but I like them that crispy. I don't like gooey or slimy skin. The flavor of the breading was good. You dip it yourself in the hot sauce. They do not come smothered, but I prefer that too. They came with one hot sauce on the side in a little covered cup. When I asked for another, they gave me another that had a totally different color and consistency, which was just kind of curious.
The people I dealt with were very nice. Even though I had three teenage boys to help me carry the food out, the person at the cashier offered to help too. They had some kind of Jehovah's Witness pamphlets by the register.
Salad was good. I liked the variety of vegetables, etc., in it. Most side salads come with tomatoes, if you're lucky. The ranch dressing was actually really good.
I love that they have yummy unusual soda selection.
The pizza has a good flavor, but the toppings are thrown on as if by someone who is blind or in a huge rush. THey are very inconsistently placed. They are also often right on top of the cheese with maybe a few shreds of cheese on top. Seems like they sometimes have a cheese pizza ready and throw your toppings you requested on it. Also, sometimes the consistency of the cheese is very chewy and rubbery, and sometimes it's fine.
The garlic knots are pretty terrible. THey are enormous, almost the size of my fist. I tasted almost no garlic. They were sitting in a ton of fake butter, that I assume is margarine, which had separated into an oily substance and a watery substance. The margarine flavor in it was overwhelming. But they were cooked well, not burnt or doughy.
The prices are high for what you're getting, and depending on what you get, it's hit or miss. Either great or...
Read moreWe've been coming here since we moved into the neighborhood six years ago, and we knew we'd found a great local spot the minute we walked in. Biaggio's is truly a neighborhood joint. The owner and his staff treat their customers like the neighbors we are.
This is not a fancy, uptight, high-dollar "dining experience." This is great Italian-American home cooking like so many grew up on. It tastes like the food your neighbor, who is a chef, puts out at parties: made with love, tasty ingredients, and the know-how to turn out classic dishes time after time. This reminds me: Biaggio's is always consistently good. From my first order here back in 2017 to today, Biaggio's delivers what I ordered, the way I like it, with fresh ingredients the chef here infuses with those classic Italian flavors and textures.
Obviously, don't miss the garlic knots. Homemade pizzas are a favorite with us, as is the chicken parm (my personal favorite here). The salads are generous and full of fresh flavor as are all the classic dishes here, from the stromboli to the zeppole.
Also, and perhaps more important in these days of stubborn inflation, Biaggio's prices are absolutely reasonable for the high quality and amount of food they offer. I haven't had the subs yet, but everything else is "delizioso."
Will this be your new favorite spot? I don't know, but what I do know is Biaggio's is popular here in our neighborhood, their food is great, and they're super friendly folks.
And whatever you order here, my god, don't forget...
Read moreWe have ordered so many times from here, we have spent quite a bit of money with them ordering their pizza, pasta, salads. Tonight we ordered their veggie salad with fried zucchini and their chicken Parmesan dinner. I immediately noticed a bad spot in some of my tomatoes so I touched it and the tomato was hard in that spot and squishy around it. I promptly took photos and a video then proceeded to call the restaurant. I provided them the pictures and then they said that they just got the tomatoes yesterday and said that it was not mold that this is what can happen occasionally when you roast the tomatoes that the oil can do that. So I googled roasted yellow Tuscan tomatoes because that is the kind he said they were. Big surprise they are actually yellow and you can see some charring on the skin but not a perfect circle that is hard, for anyone who has ever roasted a tomato or a pepper you know that the skin peels from the veggie it doesn’t get hard. I believe it’s the owner or one of them because like I said I’ve ordered and been there enough to recognize the voices. He even remembers me because he always says oh yes Kandyce with a K. They didn’t even offer to fix me another one we will never go back. And no that is not when the stem grows from this...
