TL,DR; Unless you are physically here to order, don't. These guys don't care at all.
I'm being more than fair with this review, I promise. Look at my other reviews matter of fact. If you think I'm anything but reasonable and honest, I'll eat my hat and it is nowhere near as delicious as a sandwich.
I was working for a major production in town. We put in an online order about 4ish hours before needing to be picked up. Plenty of time right? -insert Trump soundbite here- WRONG
I get to the store and ask for my pickup, which at this point needed to be timely because it was going to the most important people on set. You know that saying about shooting the messenger? Yeah people still do that all the time to the low man on the totem pole. The order wasn't ready, and not even being made. Why? Because despite the order coming through to the correct store, no one bothered to check or print it out. There is an alert system and everything, and a semi-busy to slow store looked at it and said "Eh...". So now the order isn't ready.
Now I'm a reasonable guy, I know things get missed. I was a little sharp in saying, "Can you please make this order as fast as possible? I'm going to pay the price for this literally with my work." It wasn't a threat, more of a desperate plea for their best effort. What I got was anything but.
(Imagine the boss from office space talking; that kind of urgency) "Well it's going to take a minute sir... uh.... yeah so no one printed out your oder... so it's going to take some time. And you can see we have some people here before you so you might have to wait util we finish their sandwiches." So not only was shift manager saying that I didn't order before these people, but that my situation had no importance to him. Basically, screw yourself and wait. So I waited. I didn't shout, I didn't berate, I didn't do anything except wait somewhat impatiently and quietly for the order to be done after calling my boss with the delay.
We absolutely ordered 4 hours early. The order came to the right store. The kicker was I was clearly rushing and needed to know how fast the order would be done. I told the employee after getting the sandwiches I had "15 minutes max to wait for the cookies and salads". The guy who I assume was the shift manager, said "Ok the cookies are like, taking a really long time, so I'll go see." Ten minutes goes by. "Hey, how much longer for those cookies bud? I really need to leave" "Oh... um... yeah they're taking a long time man, I'll check"......"Yeah they still need time man" "Ok how long, as in how many minutes dude, not just you guessing" "Oh uh...... - goes to check- Yeah... like 40 minutes I think"
This is where I was so frustrated that I said nope gotta go, thank you for making all the platters, and ran for it. The order wasn't correct. I was missing multiple items, and was offered bags of chips as compensation for the butt-chewing that I received back on set. Awesome.
Thanks so much guys at Capriotti's. Can't say that I'll be back, or any of my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWorst Capriottis in the area, 3rd time weāve come an hour plus before close, and they were completely out of soup. When asked why you were out of soup, the grill cook says āsorry we just put it away, we typically put it away at 7ā when we say ābut itās 6:52ā the person working cash aggressively rushes over and says āweāre out!ā then does the hand across the neck gesture, and repeats himself twice. No apology just disregard, and contempt. At least the grill cook who initially answered us was apologetic, and honest, rather then confrontational like the cashier who charged in. Our first time at this specific location was rather positive, the manager was raving about the soup, told us to come back and try it. Given all that hype, I never realized it would be such an aredous task to get frickin soup from a sandwich shop. Furthermore as someone thatās worked in the industry their entire adult life, and whom has managed a few full service restaurants, and currently still is, I expect much better customer service then the sub par experience Iāve repeatedly been offered by your staff. Lastly you should not be removing anything from your line more than 15 minutes before close, if your staff canāt breakdown, and clean up in time, then you need too clean house and find ...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm a huge Caps lover. However, I recently moved to a new Caps location. I order from them about 2xs a week thru Doordash and everytime there is an issue. I order the HOT Italian sub which always arrives cold even tho the driver is to my house in 5mins of pickup. I always ask for a large side of the red vinagar (personally if I dont have the vinagar I dont want the sandwhich). It was consistently forgotten so I started calling the store to make sure they wouldnt "forget" it. Doordash was consistently giving me refunds but I just want my food RIGHT. That worked. But then it was just easier for me to text the Dasher to ask them to make sure it was included. Which also worked untill.... This time they put a small side (which only covers 1/4 of sandwhich) & when I called to complain once again I was told it was an extra fee (even tho there is nowhere to pay extra for that side on doordash &other locations have never said that & neither have they in the 10+xs I've called mad that it wasnt in the bag). I supposedly talked to a GM who was rude & belligerent. I will never order from this location again. I'll just wait until they close & order from the Hard Rock location that is always nice, pleasant &...
