Durango Lodge — Restaurant in Nevada

I was getting ready to give this place four stars... But I really can't think of anything that they do wrong.

I broke up with my girlfriend and was looking for a new place to hang out. So I randomly went into the Durango Lodge near where my mother lives.

Service was so fast and so friendly. I don't think I sat down for one full minute before I got some attention. Every bartender and every server looks at you with full eye contact and gets in your face so they can hear you over the loud music. I myself, am a tactile person. So I appreciate people that gently touch you as they are giving you attention. I do notice that a couple of the servers are very touchy feely when making sure that you feel comfortable. And it wasn't just me. They make sure they interact with everyone. They interact so much, they end up double and triple making sure that you got some attention. I wish the staff could wear name badges so I can remember their names. But, I guess these places are designed so that you recognize faces - which is still comfortable nonetheless.

I guess the one thing I could fault them for is the cleanliness of the bathrooms. In my three random visits, the bathrooms have not been very clean. However, because I am very familiar with business operations, I can understand that because so much focus is given towards the customers, some energy has to be removed from other areas. I believe that if they did have to pay regular attention to the bathrooms like places such as Target, Walmart and McDonald's, that would detract from the level of customer service that we're getting around the bar area. I myself think that is a small sacrifice to make.

I have been going to this bar for years and years. Lately I’ve noticed that one particular bartender charges people for drinks but gives her friends free everything. This happened tonight for instance. I played about 400-450 dollars maybe more and had 5-6 vodka sodas over a 3 hour timeframe. When it was time to leave i was charged 14 dollars for drinks. But yet her friend who was sitting next to me wasn’t even playing and was not being charged for anything and food was ordered as well for him. Yeah makes no sense! On thanksgiving eve my sports group came through for a pub crawl- which we do every year and this same bartender took my full drink and threw it away while I used the bathroom. When I came back and i asked where was my drink. She made a huge deal about it and said I’ll make you a new one (huge attitude while asking me) normally I would say yes that would be the right thing to do! but our huge group was late for our other bar we we needed to go to for our pub crawl. This is just two instances that has happened with this same girl and there has been a few more. I used to like going here since it’s close to my house- but if she is there, I will walk right out and go somewhere else. I don’t know her name but she works Wednesday nights in the evenings and a heavier set girl! I hope the bar does the right thing and listens to...

Stopped in to get gas while I was at the filling station.The waitresses started telling me I had to buy beer ok.4.50 for a can I left my smokes in the car so the OWNER tells me I cannot ask people for cigarettes in HIS bar.I thought ok maybe it's because I'm not dressed.So I went home got dressed and came back started a conversation with a guy at the bar and here comes the OWNER Hey man your gonna have to buy drinks to be here.The guy I was talking to offered to buy me one and he was like not him you need to buy something.So at this point I realized he just wanted me to leave and I sure did I live around the corner and I will still Go anywhere but to that RACIST place...And to think I usually spend plenty l..If your black or have dark skin skip...
