This dive bar has a cool vibe, but unfortunately, we were treated like an inconvenience by Rochelle, the bartender. She seemed bothered by our presence, with a grouchy expression and no smile or pleasantry while we placed our orders. The only time she showed any warmth was when we were leaving, almost as if she was relieved we were gone. On the contrary, when the regulars walked in, Rochelle greeted them with open arms and big smiles. It was evident when a guy entered while I was paying, she practically worshipped him, leaving my card and pay slip at her register to serve him first. She even rushed to get him a Bud and a Bud Lite before completing my transaction. To top it off, she charged us a $0.96 credit card fee twice for a total of $1.92, even though she only ran the card once. It seemed like she was trying to make up for us ordering two rounds. In conclusion, unless you're a local, it's best to steer clear of this place.
If Rochelle had treated us just a bit better, we would have likely stayed for several hours, enjoying the atmosphere and spending a significant amount of money. Unfortunately, her dismissive attitude and preferential treatment towards the locals made us feel unwelcome and undervalued. It's a shame that our potential patronage was overlooked, as we were willing to make a night of it and support the establishment. Rochelle's behavior not only deterred us from staying longer but also left a lasting negative impression that will make us think twice before returning there of...
Read moreI have been at the Hideout several times over last couple years to watch football with friends...today was a different bar tender, male thinking manager or owner in a bad mood because had to cover on a Sunday. First I was playing a slot machine at the bar which I normally do and after first drink he told me I was not playing enough for a free drink. I said ok was chatting with friends to much and I really don't care if wants to charge me for a draft beer. I also find it funny that in 20 minutes I was down almost $20 but that don't matter it's about how many times you hit that button. I then upped my play time, had another free drink...then I made a big mistake by moving to another game...he then said he was charging me for a drink because not playing enough....did not consider what I played on the other game...then my wife comes to meet us and she was playing lots and winning good and when she ordered a drink she asked if it was free with playing...the male bar tender said he had to go look at his computer to see if she qualifies for a free drink, wow...felt like he did not know us like other people who frequently go there and he was not looking at his computer to see if they qualify for free drinks....I do like this place to hang out and have a few drinks while watching some football... today was a different day. Too bad that one bar tender that appeared stressed out can make you feel like they don't want...
Read moreWe went to the bar to just hang out as our last stop to grab a drink before heading back to our hotel. The lady bartender asked my friend what he wanted to drink and he told her what he wanted... he asked for a drink with a splash of this and a splash of that in a small glass and she replied you'll get the drink in a glass like everyone else. When she brought the drink to him he asked her if she did have any small glasses and she replied very rude and sarcastically "What? Are we going to need to get a complaint jar over here?!" And then she rolled her eyes. Then when my other friend asked her for a drink while trying to be nice she was rude to him also. You would think since there are other bar options for patrons to go to, a bartender would be nice to their patrons to make them want to stay in their bar and not want to leave to go to the other bars. The bar atmosphere itself was nice, people playing on the video poker, people coming and going, not loud but not quiet, that's why I gave it a 3. We didn't stay long after the drink as the bartender didn't give a very welcoming feeling...
