We knew Passiagos when they waited on you, had a salad bar, garlic bread included, good food and reasonable prices in a nice atmosphere. If you expect this now you will be highly disappointed as we were.
Now there is no garlic bread unless you pay $7 for it, side salads that are chopped up iceberg with packet dressing that you pay for (no more salad bar, ever again they said), no more bottomless pasta bowl (btw the fettuccine was the most plain we have ever had)... very disappointed. The atmosphere has been ruined and feels like a cafeteria with no waiters or waitresses. We love Tropicana but won't EVER, EVER eat here again. One employee of the casino walked up to us while we were eating and when we gave our opinion (they asked) their response was, well the changes are results of COVID and we are a "to go" place now. We were also told the limit of one bowl of pasta (like I mentioned, no more bottomless) was "to help watch portions for some of us"... how rude, even if he thought it was a joke. It's just bland food and not worth it. Save your time and money. I usually don't write bad reviews but this was...
Read moreThis place has the WORST Italian food. My husband and I had the dining displeasure of eating here Friday night February 24th. For some reason the person who seated us thought we would enjoy listening to big mouth "Karen" celebrating her 40th birthday. Of all the empty tables available we were seated in between a party of 14 and another party of eight. Karen made sure that we knew it was her birthday and shouted her birthday cards out loud. She also announced how her grandson took his first poopie in the toilet on her birthday.
Now for the food...We had the family feast. The soup and salad bar was a joke. The minestrone soup tasted like a off brand of tomato soup with pasta and few vegetables thrown in. The meatballs and sausage were bland with no flavor. The spaghetti sauce tasted burnt. The chicken parmesan might have been okay if it didn't have the burnt spaghetti sauce on top. We wouldn't even touch the ravioli, it had some type orangish color tomato soup topping on it. The dessert was the only thing we finished.
This was the WORST Italian food dining experience ever. We will never...
Read moreI had to wait 3-4 minutes to be seated even tho there were only a couple of tables seated so they were not busy. Three waiter/waitresses walked within a few feet of me, had eye contact and knowing the host/hostess was not present, didn't offer to seat me. Had a salad and pizza. Asked for a to go box and when the waiter brought it out and tried to slide it into the box, it was too liquidy so he piled 7 pieces of pizza on top of each other, closed the box that would not close and left. I had to spread it out to close it. The "chef" walked through the seating area and she absolutely has no professionalism in her appearance which should have worried me but I was leaving anyway. I don't think they have any standards for training their employees and for an Italian restaurant, had no idea how to set the ambiance. BTW, spent the entire night back and forth to the bathroom so obviously they don't train their staff in that whole new concept of cross-contamination.
If you like Italian food, I would NOT...
