Last year, the woman helping us asked if I wanted to join the email club & said that I'll receive a gift on my birthday. I informed her that I don't celebrate my birthday but asked if it was ok to put the baby's birthday instead. She said it was ok. So this year I received the email & planned to pick it up along with an order. When we walked in we weren't greeted & when Anika asked if we were picking up an order, she was rude, never smiled, all around, she didn't seem too happy being there. So I told her that I wanted to pick up the bundtlet & showed her the email. She asked for my ID which I informed her that its not for me, it's for the baby. She then tells me that she doesn't know why people keep doing that when it clearly states on the form that its for 13 years or older. I'm sorry but for a busy adult trying to juggle 2 kids on top of everything else, we don't have time to read the fine print. I just quickly filled in the main lines. So I asked her how to change my birthday on my email. She handed me another form & pointed to the fine print that states 13 years or older & told me that I had to fill this out again & to make sure that its for 13 years or older. I did, putting MY birthday & asked if they could make the exception this time since I was not aware of this & the woman who helped me last year never confirmed the age knowing I'm using another person's birthday. She asked if I remembered her name. From last year? Of course not! So she stared at me for a moment before telling me that she'll have to talk to her manager. Less than a minute later, she tells me that her manager won't honor the email. Not wanting to argue about the situation I tell her that we want to place an order for a dozen Bundtinis. So my sister & I are looking at the menu & trying to decide which flavors to get. Anika asked if we wanted it pre packaged. I tell her no because we don't like the lemon. I asked my sister what flavors to get. Anika sighs, clearly expressing her irritation with us & speaks loudly asking us what would we like. I remind her that we're going over this & if she could give us a minute. After a few minutes I placed the order & asked her how long this will take & she says 25 minutes. We paid, stepping out with the kids & got us a drink at the Boba shop while we wait. In 25 minutes I leave my sister with the kids to pick up our order. I go in & Anika is looking right at me with a stank face. I sip on my drink as I'm waiting in line for her to finish up with the customer before me. When its my turn, I show her my receipt. She walks over to the box sitting on the counter & hands it to me without saying a word. I thank her & as I'm leaving, not one employee there said a thing, no goodbye, no have a nice day, nothing. That didn't bother me as much as when I opened it up for my sister to see, 2 of the minis are tipped over & the frosting to one of them smeared onto the box. We're already running behind schedule, so I quickly close the box & leave to finish running errands for the party. It isn't until we're about to sing happy birthday that I noticed our order was wrong. I asked for 3 choco chips, 2 white choco raspberry, 3 pecan, 2 red velvet, 1 confetti for the birthday girl & 1 vanilla. What I got was everything but the vanilla, instead they gave us 2 confetti. Yes it's not that big of a deal, it was still good & the kids & adults loved it. But all of these little things added together from rude workers to them not only getting my order wrong but also messing up the minis as well. Bear in mind, we don't live in Henderson & they were the only location open that day, about a 25 to 30 minute drive. Would I recommend my family & friends here? Absolutely NOT! I've gone to the others as well for my job because we market to providers & other businesses & we've always had such a pleasant experience. Now I'm going to reconsider going back in the future. The cakes are delicious but not worth the...
Read moreThanks to friends, I was introduced to this company that was started in 1997 by Dena Tripp & Debbie Shwetz. There are now numerous franchised locations nationwide.
THE GOODS: Like their name implies, they sell nothing but bundt cakes, available in 8" and 10" diameters, double-tiered, cupcake-sized, and a tower gift "basket" stacked three high. Available flavors are classic vanilla, white chocolate raspberry, confetti, carrot, lemon, marble, pecan praline.
BUNDT CAKES: I got to try their Red Velvet and Chocolate Chocolate Chip flavors in the "bundtlet" size. Because I'm a cupcake fan, I really liked these as they have a similar texture, flavorful, very moist and perfectly sweetened. The frosting topping wasn't overly sweet either. Great job! I personally wouldn't have chosen two chocolate flavors but they were gifts so I can't be ungrateful, LOL.
OVERALL: I'm really surprised there's no location in Hawaii as bakeries do well here. I don't have a sweet tooth but will indulge every...
Read moreOK, SERIOUSLY NBC... I have shopped her several times and I am about on my last. each time I come I buy a large cake, serving supplies and typically a bundlett. approximately $60 worth of items and you cannot even supply a bag to get the items to my car yet each individual item is sealed with a tiny little paper bag with a sticker? It is far more important to me to have a shopping bag that holds my items to get them to my car without dropping them. I asked for a bag and the girl says "Yes, you can buy one for $1.50.... ??WHAT?? I spend $60 and can't get a dang bag to hold my items with? I noticed this before and was a little taken back but this time, I think I have just about had it. Where is the customer service? I could care less about a branded re-useable bag! If I have already spent the $ then sheesh.... give me a dang bag!!!!!! If you cannot figure that out then i'll take my business elsewhere. Good Cake, poorly thought out...
