This place is 100% a college place, only problem is that I am not sure they have figured that out for themselves from the prices of the menu. Because this place is in a newer building, it hasn't really developed any character. They offer plenty of drinks including alcoholic drinks, which are probably the most reasonably priced thing in this restaurant considering they are across the street from the university. The food isn't horrible but there is much left on the table to be desired.
The wings are a bit soggy even though they are not fried. There is no crunch to them at all. The lemon pepper blends in with the curry so that you are not sure of which one you are eating. The wings with sauce are drenched to the point where you question if they just poured it over the wings. They do offer both a ranch and blue cheese dipping sauce but only give you extra if you pay. The ranch is pre-packaged in a disposable plastic cup, which feels like a missed opportunity. The blue cheese doesn't even look like blue cheese, it looks like something that was mixed in the back with a few crumbles of blue cheese in it, also served in a disposable to go ramican.
The pizza is acceptable. A crust that isn't tough with a good crunch at the end. Their classic pepperoni is cooked well enough that you should enjoy the crispness of the little pepperoni. Unfortunately they are so sparse with the ingredients that you wish it came with a side of pepperoni.
Their specialty pizza which is easily the crown jewel of the restaurant was by far the best thing that I tried while there. However, I do not think they have dialed in their flavor and have much room to improve.
I can see this place becoming a staple part of university life as they continue to grow and find who they are. The specialty pizzas themselves could use a little more seasoning to bring out the flavors that they are going for. I may revisit this place in the future but for now I will wait as the restaurant's character continues to develop into their...
Read moreUpdate: I was contacted by the owner, and he was very polite and explained he wanted to make things right for me. He suggested two pizzas that he believed I would like (tandoori chicken and the curry chicken). I took him up on his offer. I got a personal pizza with half tandoori chicken and half curry chicken. I was very impressed by the food. This was a week ago. I dragged my feet writing this update as I was still left unsatisfied with my interaction with the gentleman that was serving me. He simply has little to no customer service. When I walked in there were two older ladies leaving the store. He flashed a big smile to them (teeth and all) and then looked at me, and the smile disappeared. He was the same gentleman who helped me the first time. I don't know what his issue is, but he's rude and does not represent the Curry Pizza House well. Besides interacting with him, the food was really good. The owner suggested ordering in store for a fresher pizza. He was right, and I would suggest doing the same. Below is my original review. I changed my one star to three stars because of the owner and the food. The fourth and fifth star was not added as the gentleman that works there is rude and unfriendly. Also, the restroom was dirty and had no toilet paper or paper towels. Four stars for the food. One star for the restroom cleanliness and the in store customer service. The owner is pretty cool.
First and last time in. The problem was the way the guy behind the counter stared me down when I walked in. I was polite, told him I was picking up food. He said "show me it's yours", I pulled out my phone and showed him the receipt. He almost reluctantly gave me my pizza. Poor customer service ruined this...
Read moreI ordered pizza, wings, and soda from Curry Pizza House Las Vegas on September 19th at 7:15 PM. The estimated delivery time was around 8 PM, but it wasn't until 9 PM that I received a call from the delivery driver, who said she couldn't find my house. Even though she was supposedly at my location, she was looking in a completely wrong area. It was already past 9:15 PM, and by that time, over two hours had passed since I placed the order. I realized the food would be cold and inedible by the time I got it, so I called Curry Pizza House directly to cancel my order.
However, instead of offering a solution, the manager told me that since the food was being delivered by Uber Eats, I would have to get a refund from them. I found this completely absurd. I placed the order through Curry Pizza House, not Uber Eats. How can they tell a customer to contact a third party for a refund when I never even ordered through Uber Eats?
After wasting more time waiting on hold and dealing with this ridiculous situation, I finally had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. By the time everything was resolved, it was 10:15 PM. I had spent three hours dealing with this mess, missed my dinner, and wasted my evening on frustrating phone calls.
I would never recommend this place to anyone. The manager's response was completely unacceptable. Whether they use Uber Eats or not is their business, not mine. I never ordered through Uber Eats, so being told to deal with them for a refund is beyond...
