Tried to stop in after dropping off my wife at the spring valley hospital ER nearby. She was bit by a dog and had her lip literally split open. After having drove her to the ER, I had a panic attack in the waiting room because of all the stress of the situation, so I decided to try and grab a drink and maybe a bite to eat to calm down. I walked in and sat down at the bar. The bartender asked me what was up, and I told him I just had a really rough night and could use a shot of whiskey. Without asking me anything else, he immediately gets really hostile with me and says "you seem really out of it, I'm not giving you any alcohol" Like yeah, I'm sorry I'm a little shaken up after having to drive my screaming and crying wife across town to an ER with her lip all mangled, but he didn't even give me a chance to mention any of that before he decided to refuse me service (I did attempt to explain that my wife is at the hospital down the road to which he responded "I don't care"). Sometimes, when somebody is shaken up like that, all they need is a little comfort, not to be met with immediate hostility. I didn't get the bartenders name because he was too busy telling me to leave immediately, but he was a bald guy, slightly heavy set probably in his late 40s or early 50s, and this took place around midnight, Friday October 27th of 2023. Needless to say, if you're looking for a friendly establishment, I would not recommend this...
Read moreDecided to check out this "hockey bar" during the NHL playoffs this evening. Found one-single TV in the back corner of the bar playing the game. Halfway through the second period the bartender "Amanda" changed the channel to UFC while we were the only ones watching that particular TV in the corner. We asked her to change it back, and without apology she changed it back...along with an extremely rude comment. She then went back to the other end of the bar complaining to her other patrons how much she "hated hockey fans." Classy!
There are tons of other bars in Vegas that will serve you a cold beer without attitude...I suggest you skip this one. Unless you enjoy rude service (similar to "Dick's Last Resort). Despite what they claim...Scooters is NOT a hockey bar!! The bartenders at Hooters down the street were very nice and we were able to enjoy the 3rd period of our game...thanks Hooters!
Shame on you Scooters for claiming to be a "hockey bar" and instead serving cold beer along with an obnoxious attitude by your star employee Amanda...
Read moreLast weekend my Family came into town for my Mothers memorial. My ex husband got a room at Holiday Inn by this bar and decided to come into scooters to check it out. He was on a FaceTime call with a dear friend of his as he walked in and went up to the bar. I had tried waving and calling the bartender to no avail - he said the music was extremely loud so he whistled and the bad tender turned and came to him and my ex Husband said he was very kind to the bartender even explaining ‘hey sorry for whistling it was just loud in here and I didn’t know how to get your attention’ to which the bartender told him ‘I saw you we don’t serve your kind here you need to leave’. My ex husband is black. I am beyond disgusted with this type of behavior. And this review is not the only time you will...
