Let me start by saying I have been a long time customer to MANY of their locations. Even brought friends and family to the franchise because it was our favorite establishments. Even went as far as talking with someone about opening a franchise location… No more, enough is enough. This place is DEAD.
I’ve ordered through app delivery on many occasions and each time I list no cheese as my option. Each and EVERY time, I get cheese anyway. I grew tired of this and decided to take a long break from this location and the franchise as a whole as I tried ordering at many of their locations with the exact same result.
Tonight I ordered online through Uber Eats as I have on numerous occasions. I ordered, buffalo chicken fries, Hot sauce, normal fry seasoning, ranch, and No cheese (God blessed me with one of those severe sensitive stomachs to dairy). I also ordered a kids bites with hot sauce and a small side of fries.
Upon the arrival of the delivery I was immediately disappointed. I received 2 of the 3 plates I ordered, I noticed on my cameras that the driver was still outside so I went to ask the driver if there was another bag or something. The driver said that he noticed the same thing and asked the gentleman if there was a 3rd plate and his response was, everything is in the bag. So, disappointed, I came back in to check what was actually missing. After further inspection, surprise surprise, Cheese yet again, no hot sauce for the kids bites, and a side order of fries completely missing.
While others state the chicken is tough, yes my chicken is also tough and has been since pandemic time. The quality has progressively declined, the servings have gotten 30% smaller, and the consistency between locations is anyone’s guess.
What happened to this franchise?! From one of the fastest growing locations in the valley to a screeching halt? Even the owner publicly attacking a honest review?!
Anyways, This was the last straw for me and my family. I will not be returning to any location and believe stores will soon close.
Hey Chicken Shack! Why did the chicken cross the road? To find an owner who could actually run...
Read moreThe service I got at the North Rancho Chicken Shack today was terrible. They surely have lost a customer. I've met the owner he is an awesome guy. He has terrible workers and if he can't get better workers at that location it will close. I'm fresh off work stop in to patronize the spot because I hadn't had it in a while. It can be enjoyable when the food is seasoned and cooked properly.. The Chicken is pretty MID without the sauce but I like it occasionally. My order was prepared I received it took it home 5-7 minutes drive away. Get home to see it wasn't prepared like I ordered it. I call back a young lady answers the phone says I can get the order remade they way I asked no problem. Now I return with the order cold fries , cold chicken. The young lady that answered the phone greets me and asks if I was the one returning to remake the order . I tell her yes.I then tell her how I want the chicken prepared and to please replace the fries too.. I received the remake but not with the fries. You he cook says nothing was wrong with the fries, he remade the chicken I should be good. I told home I wanted a new batch of fries he says I had time to eat them and there was no need for him to make me a new order of fries.. I told him to make me some new fries I had to bring them back with the order and would lika new batch. He aggressively refused saying he isn't giving me anything else for free .. I said the messed up order is there on the table fries and all. You can take the fries and make me some more. He said bring them to him. As to say I'm not getting nothing you go get it. Mind you I am a paying/paid customer getting disrespected and my order was messed up. I asked for my money and he obliged... Why not just remake the french fries as well in stead of losing the money and the customer. I'm glad I didn't eat that food today... . In hindsight. Two of the workers in the car smoking weed come back in and don't wash their hands. Workers touching food then moving the trash can and not washing their hands before touching food again. Just an overall bad experience... Lost a customer over some...
Read moreI've ordered from here a few times. The first time almost completely turned me off, I don't remember which sauce flavor I got, but I tried again, and it completely redeemed itself. I've ordered both pickup and delivery from this location. I got the 2 tender combo with the honey garlic sauce and normal fries. I've also previously had the cheese fries.
The food is really good! I get the fried version of the tenders, and I think they are perfection! I get the honey garlic sauce, and it is so dang good. It's a bummer I've never been able to get the tenders tossed in the sauce when I ask for that, but I don't mind dipping in the sauce and then in the ranch. It's a yummy sweet, garlic, tangy sauce, and it's officially my favorite. The fries are also really good. They are almost double fried or something. The cheese fries are also suuuper good! The cheese is almost like a nacho cheese consistency. The drink size that comes with the combo is pretty small, and the difference between that and the large is a pretty big one, so I usually upgrade. I always get ranch with my fingers because who doesn't like ranch. When ordering through the website for pickup, you can select multiple little ranch cups, but through Uber Eats you only have the option of 1 small ranch cup ($ 0.89) or the large ranch cup ($2.99). You can't add multiple of the smaller cups. I always end up wasting the ranch because the $2.99 version is huge. The food is really, really good, and I've only ever been disappointed that first time, so I definitely recommend you try out sauces and see what you like.
Every time I have gone in, my food has been ready, and the restaurant is pretty clean with friendly staff. All of the locations seem to be a little small, so I definitely recommend ordering to go. Despite the first experience I had, I would 100% recommend this place. Chicken is legit, and the sauce (at least the ones I...
