Zaxby's Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings — Restaurant in New Bern

So we decided to go to Zaxby’s around 3:00PM. We received our food, pull out the parking lot. I put a straw in my husbands Diet Coke and he sips, says “the taste is off”! I try mine it’s the same. Check our food, fries are hard and warm. We return go through the drive thru and the associate tells us pull forward she’ll get her manager. 3:15. 3:20 the manager Crystal comes to the vehicle and my husband tells her the situation. Rudely she says “give me the food and I need the receipt to give you your money back”! My husband responds” I would rather have the food”. She says”whatever “! Walks away. 3:26PM At approximately 3:56PM A young man walk over to our vehicle, apologizes for the wait and what happened with our food. We thanked him, I asked for ranch dressing and he went back inside and got it for me . Jamal should be the manager because of his customer service aptitude! Ooooooh my God this is my home Zaxby's y'all!! Okay Soo I review places because I eat out everyday and when I travel I rely on reviews and want them to be honest. So any reviews I have done are on point and would never send you somewhere sketchy. So this place is totally on point they got their shit together and always have had it this way. They have a good bunch of workers there and always seem to have them there. I always tell my wife to watch they are going to mess this up. And bam!! They don't ever mess it up. And I always ask for the most diva stuff y'all!! But they always get it and always put my three extra packs of tongue torch sauce in the bag 😂. I always think I am going to have to run in and get but they have never let me down. So thanks to this lovely establishment that always has fresh food and a very clean place to eat. I want to extent my gratitude to the management team at this location. They took my review seriously. My husband and I went back today to try again. The manager, Jaime, was pleasant, friendly and professional. We ordered the exact same thing again. The 5 finger plate, fries and coleslaw with Zax Sauce and a 5 finger sauced plate with double fries. The food overall was much better. The chicken was not dried out or overcooked. It was moist and had good flavor. The fries were fresh, hot and seasoned well. My husband's plate was also better but he did say 2 of the 5 fingers were still overcooked.
