Peking Garden — Restaurant in New Bern

I'm new to New Bern and I'm still getting to know the place. When I called Peking garden, I was met with a rude woman who tried to rush me off the phone. She took my order but never took my name, never took my information and didn't give me a time frame in which I could pick up my food. The food was mediocre at best, but not terrible. The place looked clean out front so I have no qualms with that, but I have no idea how things are in the back. When I picked up my food the woman gave me an attitude like she was doing me a favor cramming duck sauce in a bag for me and taking my money. Called to place a take out order and was asked to hold on a second, 20 minutes later still sitting on hold. Drove to the restaurant and the one answering the phone was sitting in a booth nowhere near the phone which still had me on hold. It breaks my heart to have to leave this review because the food is always good but if the woman who usually works the counter is not there service is horrible. I understand trying to teach children responsibility but answering the phones is really not the place or time to do that. Peaking Garden has always had the BEST chinese wings in town But they closed for close to 2 months from July-September and when I found out they were open again I was excited Unfortunately they have new owners/cooks and have changed the chicken wing & egg roll recipe.
