My boyfriend and I accidentally entered without a mask. We were politely told that we can’t come in without a mask. We went and got them from the car with no issue because we had simply forgotten. Once we ordered our food, we noticed other people entering without masks and continuing to be served. We have no issue with the mask request, but my boyfriend got upset because he feels like it was because he feels like it was because he’s black and we’re an interracial couple. I told him it was probably nothing and it was just because there was a different person behind the counter... but I continued to see people being served without masks. I’m sure it wasn’t even intentional, and maybe because we are an odd couple (he’s of mixed race with dreads and I’m just a skinny white girl) maybe we simply just attracted the attention of the lady behind the counter... however, even if it wasn’t intentional... the same rule should go for everyone. Not just us. That being said, the food was great and everyone was polite, but no one appreciates being made to feel singled out like that so please make sure that if you’re going to enforce this rule, that you please enforce it to everyone. The cashier was bothered by everything we asked for. The tables were dirty. I asked for napkins to clean off the table. No silverware was given. When I asked for napkins for my meal, I was told there was already A napkin in my basket. It's was under my food under a wax wrap. It's not a very smart place to put a napkin. I told her I would have to take my food out of the basket just to get 1 napkins. Can I just have some napkins? She gave me 2! I packed my food up and left. The lady asked the cook and they said it would be quick so I ordered it. They gave me a letter and asked me to pull around. I did what they asked and the lady quickly brought out the dessert at this time stated that the grilled cheese was almost done. I proceeded to wait about 20 minutes and then decided to call and ask where it was. The lady that answered asked for my letter and then said it was gonna be a few more minutes.
