Absolutely LOVE this cafe. Do not sleep on this little place “inside” the children’s museum. First of all, the food is delicious and so is the coffee. We love coming here for a play-break in the middle of our visit to McKenna. The staff have always been SO friendly, which really goes a long way with me. Today at about 3:15 (after closure), my son got stung by a bee while outside at the museum. We ran over to the cafe to get some ice — they already had the gate down and were cleaning up. The sweet young lady behind the counter made my son an ice pack while another staff member offered him a muffin and then another staff member came out, unlocked the fridge, and got him a juice pack. I was honestly blown away — they didn’t have to do all of that (especially after close), but they went above and beyond to help. I like medium/dark roasts for coffee and they seem to have a medium roast for their espresso. I got a regular latte and it was very smooth and light. They made mine extra hot so you might need to ask for medium temperature, it did stay nice and hot on the way back home though!
Their pastries are also harty and satisfying! I got a chocolate croissant that was buttery and soft, a lot of times croissants are so light I want something else too, but these were just right.
I got a muffin as well, very well balanced with the coffee and didn't feel too sugary like a lot of other coffee shops.
Highly recommend and I hope...
Read moreLove this place! The owners are so sweet and down to earth. They offer so much besides coffee (Italian sodas, juices, iced tea, Mexican Coke) and even some deeeelish lunch items (flat bread pizza, sandwiches, soups, and some weekly rotating specials). For breakfast they have pastries- the chocolate croissant being my personal favorite as it reminds me of Europe.
This is definitely a kid-friendly establishment with a kid's menu and hot chocolate and juice boxes.
Best of all- they cater! Anything from pastries to wedding cakes and a full sit-down dinner for any meeting or event you are hosting. The options...
