Lone Star Lounge — Restaurant in New Braunfels

I see there are a lot of great reviews...but my experience was less than great!! As for pricing: 2 Fireball shots, 1 Birthday Cake shot, 4 Bud Light longnecks, 1 Vodka/Cranberry, 1 Long Island and 1 Jack/Coke = $95!!! Comes out to almost $10/drink...that's NOT GREAT PRICING!! Then the bar had the nerve to add their own gratuity despite my having crossed it out on my tab as I'd been feeding the glass vase with $1's...NOT GREAT INTEGRITY!! Then there's the music: If only I was 21 again and wanted to hear rap/house music at a deafening tone!! NOT GREAT MUSIC!! (not to mention the shady looking clientele that frequented the place that night...sorry, baggy pants, oversized sweatshirts and sideways caps aren't my scene). Overall the place looks like fun, and maybe my experience was unique, but I don't think I'll be going back any time soon as there are other bars where the bartenders pay more attention to you, don't overcharge you, and genuinely appreciate your business rather than trying to STEAL your money with a hidden tip. Our first visit to this place. Atmosphere was nice. We sat at the bar and I noticed a floor fan up on top of the bar. Really? Not a great look and it was a bit cool as well.
