Whataburger — Restaurant in New Braunfels

Ordered BOB meal and pancakes. Normally, I don’t mind waiting but after waiting and pulling up to the third window, the guy comes out and says listen I’m sorry and I apologize I don’t know what happened to your meal they’re not sure if somebody threw it away or what? Are you flipping serious? You think somebody threw away my meal first of all you probably shouldn’t tell the customer that you should just say it’s taking more time that maybe they had a big order and that if I wouldn’t mind to pull on the other side you should never tell a customer that they think that somebody threw it away, so that kind of put me off then I went to the other side and waited in line. A guy finally comes out with my meal and I didn’t get any ketchup which I asked for and then when I ate my sandwich, it was OK the fries the few on top tasted fresh but the ones right underneath and all the way to the bottom , they were not so I did not eat all the fries which people would if the fries were fresh. Lastly, I had ordered pancakes as well and I’m not sure sure but I’m not dumb I think y’all grill or where y’all make the pancakes at needs to be cleaned thoroughly because my pancakes had a lot of black shavings , on top of the pancakes on top of the pancakes on the bottom of the pancakes I was kind of scared to eat it, and after a couple of bites, it kind of made me lose my appetite, so I ended up not eating the pancakes as well I thought I would give them another chance, but they have pretty much failed will not be coming into this location and New Braunfels...

After being back in Texas for about a month I finally made it to Whataburger as I wanted to try the Breakfast Burger as it looked good on Facebook! The main reason I wanted to try it was that is was comparable (in the Facebook photo) to the Breakfast Burger that I loved from Carl’s Jr out in California. I have really missed Whataburger so it was nice to visit and try this item! I wasn’t overly impressed with this burger as a breakfast item. I thought the patty was thin at barely ¼” at best and it just really failed compared to other options that exist on the market.

The restaurant itself was in okay condition, but the condiments area needed to be refilled and there was rubbish on one of the tables (see photo). There was no Pepper in the condiments container at all and there was barely any honey as well. I did ask for some pepper and an employee brought me some and then promptly refilled the salt and pepper container. Problem solved there. It did take some time to get my meal which surprised me as things usually come pretty fast, but I wasn’t aware of the demand coming through the drive-thru so that is really just an observation with perhaps no merit.

Final Thoughts:

I still love Whataburger and always well! I will however stick to what I love best from there and that is their custom burgers. No place I have ever been can match them on this in such a quick...

Went and ordered food at 11:30pm. I was just passing through coming back from the rodeo.When I got home and started eating my food I placed my burger down, picked it back up and there was a cockroach that crawled out of my food onto the wrapper. I took pictures and immediately called the manager. Samantha was the manager who seemed very annoyed that this happened. She also said she checks every order leaving the store, which is not possible and practically blamed it on us. She said there was no way this could have happened and NEVER even apologized. She said we could drive all the way back over there, which is about 30 minutes and she would remake it, Which clearly wasn’t practical. She was incredibly annoyed and short with us, and all we were asking, was for her to look into it to make sure they didn’t have an infestation. We weren’t asking for another burger, which clearly wasn’t practical.
