Judy’s Kitchen's menu is extensive, prices are reasonable, and the place looks clean. People at the counter are friendly and accommodating. We ordered beef and cheese empanadas, chipotle chicken wrap, and chorizo torta. There were a few tables so we stayed in. As we were waiting, a constant stream of people coming to pick up their orders indicated that the place is popular among locals. Our crisp empanadas were nicely stuffed and tasted very good. The actual wrap of the chipotle sandwich was preheated, which was a nice touch, it was thin and not overwhelming. The ample amount of stuffing was fresh and perfectly spiced. Chorizo torta was excellent: good bread and plenty of delicious filling. Sandwiches were a little messy to eat as they were really packed but, hey, who would complain about that. There is a nice tea/coffee counter in the back and a ledge by the window convenient for those with a computer or a book. We will definitely go back when in the area.

Me and my girlfriend placed an Online order. I simply put in the special request “ Add A side of ranch, please” This is the response I got when I got my order via DoorDash with NO ranch dressing mind you 🤣 They couldn’t give me a 50 Cent cup of ranch? I was unaware that ranch dressing comes out of their paycheck. Never will I be coming back here again and I will forever save this post as I screenshot it and will show my foodie community. Pathetic. ✌️😂

I had the Buffalo wrap and it tasted amazing. They cook it right after you order, so you'll have to wait a little bit but the food comes out hot fresh off the grill. It was hard to understand what the guy was saying though

Some of the food on the menu is really good sometimes and other times isn't that good and the quality will be pretty bad. Some items on the menu are much better than others. Much of the food is extremely greasy and the pasta salad is really bland. Burritos and wraps will often give you diarrhea. Their breakfast is really good a lot of the time, however. The wait can be unbearably long sometimes and the service is really bad. One of the employees that is on the grill and takes the orders is extremely friendly, however the other one can be downright rude and arrogant and will absolutely overcharge you for anything he can, and doesn't understand how to operate a phone when taking orders. It's also quite peculiar that they run out of certain food on the menu fairly frequently. The sign inside that says "You want more you pay more!!!" is also quite ridiculous. A lot of the food is pretty overpriced for what it is and is really bad for you, and the service and wait can also be awful, but it's in an old dumpy neighborhood in New Brunswick so you really can't expect that much. That being said, I would still recommend to anyone to try this place since it is different and some of the items on the menu can be really good. Just don't be shocked if you get sick or have diarrhea the next day and don't come here too often or you will really start to be...

Try the stews!

Judy's Kitchen is amazing. I appreciated their food 10 years ago as a student at Rutgers and still order from here after moving back into the city.

As a poor college kid, I could depend on Judy's to supply 2 meals in one with their stew/rice and side (Traditional plate) for around $10 back then - and the food was always delicious. 10 years later, they still offer very reasonably priced food in massive quantities and it's just as delicious as it was back then.

Service is excellent - I ordered through DoorDash tonight and they called to let me know they were low on the stew I ordered. The lady offered me several options at no extra cost and it made me feel like they really care about customer satisfaction.

In short, great food, great price, amazing quantities and always friendly.

You guys...
