Let me start off by saying the double cheese burgers we had were excellent, unfortunately that is the only good thing I can say about my experience at Deniza's.
I came in Feb 1st with 2 friends, we ordered 3 double cheese burgers, no fries, no drinks or any other sides. When Deniza rang up the order she entered double cheese burgers and then added a $5 patty to each, making them total over $15 a piece for what should of been $10.xx with some change. When I was given the total of $45 I was confused but paid as I was unsure where the mistake was at, perhaps the price board was wrong?
Fast forward some hours later I call Deniza to ask about this as it seems like a mistake on their end was made. I explain the situation where Deniza flat out says "I didn't try to screw you on purpose", which gave me the impression it was intentional. If that was the truth and not intentional shouldn't the total for 3 burgers have tipped you off that you made a mistake, it is your restraunt after all?
On the call I ask about getting a partial refund as Im from out of state but she claims she isn't good with computers and doesn't know how to do that, but to text her with my info and she would send a check to refund the difference. I waited several weeks and even responded to the text again where the husband informed me she was out of town on family matters. Beyond that I never received followup or a check for my refund of the overcharged food. I had to open a dispute with my bank to get the refund and jump through hoops to prove my case with them becuase of Deniza's dishonesty.
While Deniza's food may be tasty, it's clear the business is poorly ran and Deniza is not concerned with rectifying their mistakes, even when they're at the cost of paying customers.
Overall Rating: Poor, the food was good but in the customer service world you have to do better. I would suggest Deniza learn how to use the point of sale system as there is really no excuse for not knowing how to run your business. Perhaps work on honesty and transparency as well instead of trying to rip-off out of towners by over charging them and assuming they'll never discover the discrpeency, which based on the lack of honesty and transparency by Deniza is clearly an issue here. 1 star because I...
Read moreThis is the kind of place you kick yourself for going too. In one word, gross. The kind of place you wonder if you're gonna get sick after eating there. I should have walked when they said they fryer was down, but despite all appearances, I decided to order a simple and over priced cheeseburger. Cold bun, cold pickles , cold condiments, warm patty. Frozen beef patties, not fresh made by hand. A childs burger, something you'd get your child at a Chinese restaurant. This burger is not what you see on the website. . No taste, zero seasoning, did it even hit the fry top? You'd never tell by looking at it. Avoid,...
Read moreExcellent quality ingredients and good people make this place great. Rosen poppyseed buns, Vienna hot dogs with the "snap", Vienna quality peppers, pickle, mustard, and celery salt. The tomatoes are local and Michigan's finest. The married flavor of the whole package makes it 1 of the 5 best Chicago hot dogs I've ever had. The fries are excellent, but could have used 20 more seconds to fit my tastes. The owner was kind and the staff clearly want to grow this place because they ask questions of the customers to develop and finalize a menu. I'm a fan and...
