Update April 2018: the last few times we have gone we are being "talked down" on what kind of hot sauce we ask for on our orders. Please don't tell the customer that you are "running out" of a hot sauce and try to give a paying customer less hot sauce. Run out of it or make more. I really like this place but I shouldn't have to dicker with with for how much hot sauce I'm going to get when I'm paying you $66 already for food. This is petty. Guys, just make more hot sauce.
The food is very good, but might be a little pricier than Mexican food you may have eaten before. I love the quesadillas and am not a big fan of their recent menu change that is set up to make ordering simple. I end up having to give a long order just to have the quesadillas the original way I have in the past. There is nothing particularly special about the meat that they source, at least they don't boast this, but all the food tastes great. I wish they would pursue some more sustainable food options, but I understand why that would be difficult, especially if there is only a small share of consumers, like me, desiring this very thing. The staff here has always been very friendly and helpful when I stop in. I like going to this location the most because of the helpfulness...

Read moreVery good food in large portions, with prices to match the portions.
If you don't like cilantro, be sure and ask them to hold it. They have been out of horchata a couple times. Boo! Still, the food is good.
I returned on the fourth of July. The food was great. The ingredients are on a menu you pick from. Much better game plan. Still a bit pricey, but good food. I had the spicy chicken burrito with beans, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, and onions. It wasn't spicy so I got some of the hottest sauce. It wasn't really hot, but it added a bit of snap to the burrito. Good horchata. Really good. They did run out of guacamole. Only outdoor seating, and not enough of it. Easy to find on the way out of New Buffalo going towards Michigan City.
