Been here so many times and the smoothies, juices, açaí bowls and wraps (I tried Buffalo cauliflower & tofu scramble) are very good! The pizza is horrible.. got it twice (margarita and mushroom) and it wasn’t cooked and they don’t take it back to cook more because of covid - so that was annoying. The avocado toast is $9 and is something I or anyone can do at home it wasn’t anything specular where I would get it again. I love the idea, theme, atmosphere, location, and vibe of this place. The workers are super young (I’m only 25) but I feel like there isn’t much management in the New Canaan location so they don’t really care about the food quality. I tried a falafel salad and the falafel was not good. Coffee is super watery and milky also. I feel like too much is trying to be done because it gets so busy there that it’s so hard to keep up with drinks and food! I really love this place and will keep trying different things because I live down the road, I’m vegetarian, I work nearby and the menu is very great filled with fantastic options. I will keep trying more of the foods because I am quite curious and there are a lot of things I haven’t tried. Overall.. food is ok.. smoothies and bowls are great!!
This is my second review also - first one never...
Read moreCame here twice and the experience was pretty good. The food and coffee tasted yummy, but the barista botched the milk on my latte. It was foamed so much that it came out closer to a dry cappuccino and the milk was poorly incorporated w/ tons of large bubbles on top, which is indicative of poor steaming techniques. On the other hand, they at least use high quality plant based milks (somewhere else in town uses extremely cheap and poor quality milks that just ruin milk-based drinks). We also asked for all our food and drinks for here and it was all made to go, not a big deal but kind of a bummer. And lastly the tofu scramble wrap was very good but if you’re going to cut it in half I recommend cutting the wrapper in half too. I didn’t realize it was cut in half and unfolded the top of the wrapper to eat it and when I got to the middle where it was cut in half it got so messy and difficult to eat. It was just awkward to eat it that way. Not a big deal but it would have been more convenient to just have two halves instead of it being wrapped as one big thing. Aside from these minor things, the staff were nice, the space was clean, and...
Read moreIt was my first time in the area, and found Greenology. First, the quality of the food was excellent, and the flavor was on point. I like that everything is organic. I asked if everything is vegan and was told yes, then I saw their acai bowls have honey and bee pollen, so aside from this, everything is supposed to be of plant origin. They took time to check products for food allergies which were appreciated.
What appeared to be a manager was talking to us, answering questions, yet he became distracted mid-convo and didn't hear us trying to get his attention many times. The tables were a bit dirty, and no one came out to clean them the approx 1.5hr we were there. Seem slightly understaffed. I found the desserts and empanadas to be too pricey for their size in comparison to other establishments. Nevertheless, because of the patience for taking our order and the quality of the food, loved it. I probably would knock off a star if it didn't detract from this fact but appreciate their existence and hope to come back to...
