Budget Motor Lodge New Castle — Hotel in Pennsville Township

Active bed bugs!!! My husband and I stayed at this motel for one week for work. Less than 24 hours after checking out, I found bed bugs in my pillow and linen. I contacted the hotel twice. Both times I was in a verbal altercation with the staff. The “manager” Mike Patel, refused to take my name and phone number to allow me to speak to the owner. I was told that I could not receive a refund because I did not report the problem upon checkout. I told both staff members that I spoke to that I did notice bites on my body two days prior to checking out, and mentioned them to my husband. He did not have any so I did not think anything about it. Not even 24 hours after leaving, I find active active bed bugs in my things. The first woman I spoke to said that had I mentioned this at checkout or while I was there, I could have received a refund. I explained that my stay there was actually well. WORST HOTEL I BEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE AND I AM A TRUCK DRIVER AND TRAVEL ALOT AND BEEN TO ALOT OF HOTELS WAS THERE FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES STARTED ITCHIN THE WHOLE BODY ROOM SMELLED LIKE MOLD BROKEN A/C UNIT DIDNT WORK AT ALL TOLD THE LADY UP FRONT ALL SHE SAID IS WAIT TILL IT HEATS UP NEVER HEATED UP ALL THE BEDDIN WAS STINKY AND ROUGH THE BED WAS UN EVEN THE TABLE WAS SO WOBBLY ALL THE LIGHT FIXTURES WERE CRUKED AND OLD AND WITHOUT BULBS, TRASH CAN DID NOT HAVE A BAG PLUS IT WAS ALL BROKEN FROM THE BOTTOM WAS THERE JUST A COUPLE A MINUTES AND WAS REFUSED A REFUND SAYING THE BED WAS CLEAN AND THE AC UNIT WAS FUNCTIONAL WHEN I SHOWED HER THE PIC OF THE UNIT SHE WAS SURPRISED AND I JUST WALKED OUT SO UNLESS YOU WANT TO END WITH AN ITCHY BODY SKIP THIS HOTEL PLUS IT WAS A NON SMOKIN ROOM AND IT SMELL ALOT LIKE SMOKE N THE RR HAD CIGARETTE...

This is the nastiest hotel I've ever seen. It is absolutely gross. I would give it less than one star if I could. I wish I could post pictures because you would just not believe how nasty it is and smells just as bad. Mold and mildew everywhere. Toilet is dirty and gross. They do not have non smoking rooms and they have used the bathtub as an ashtray. I walked in looked around took some pictures and left. I was scared to even think about sleeping on the bed or walking on the nasty, sticky carpet. BTW, why is the carpet sticky? Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. A little bit more money is better than getting bed bugs. They must get their staff or friends to get on here and give them 5 stars because there is no way this place could possibly be a five star hotel. Either that or these people have very, very...
