This was our 1st time coming here. We have no idea why there are people that have rated them so low. Austin was our server and he was personable and very helpful. Quick with a drink and suggested the antipasto for two ($12). OMG for two??? Could have been for four it was giant, and delicious. The drinks are well priced, if you're looking for $1 beer night this is not the place, they have adult drinks here. Binge drink somewhere else. My wife had the pasta al forno ($14) and I had the lasagna ($15) both were amazing, more on them in a bit. Dinner came with a salad and bread, it sounds simple but you'd be surprised how places can screw that up. Fratellis did not miss a beat. To start the antipasto was savory and had a little bite to it and the cheese was smooth and cool. The salad: every bite was fresh and crisp, even the cherry tomatoes "popped" we both would have been happy to fill up on the salad alone. We both had the vidalia onion dressing ( Thank you again Austin ) very nice. The sesame bread was fresh, hot, and soft. Best part they but the butter in with the bread so the butter was softened and didn't rip up the bread when you put it on. Now onto the entrees, the lasagna was huge, and the two meat balls that came with it are only slightly smaller then baseballs. You can tell that both are fresh and hand made. They came out pipping hot and full of melty goodness. You can tell the kitchen staff/cooks/chefs cared about the food, prep and presentation. The pasta al forno was the perfect mix of the acid of the red sauce and the smoothness of ricotta with little surprises of mushrooms, and meat. We would have had dessert but honestly there was just no room left. We ended up taking home 4 take home boxes and are looking forward to finishing the left overs tomorrow, if we can keeps our kid out of them. We will definitely be back...
Read moreUpdate 3: the vaping seems to have stopped which was great to see. The food was delicious as well.
Update 2: Vaping seems to be a bit rampant with the employees here. We noted one of the staff unable to remove their vape from their hand to serve our drinks and food. Another employee was taking breaks at the end of the bar to vape and check their phone with empty drinks at the bar. We did enjoy the loaded fries and the bar pie, but the open vaping from employees and customers, although legal, is very disturbing.
Update: they took the Nacho's off the menu and that smell is still there, but all else is the same. There was a stuffed shell special that was very tasty, the pulled pork sandwich was as well. The Buffalo chicken wrap did leave something to be desired though.
I love coming to Fratelli's. The homemade Italian dishes are great, but the Nacho's are my favorite. Its the only Nacho's I've ever had that need more chips, there's so many toppings!! The entrees also come with some nice complimentary bread thats delicious. Only issue is there is a musty smell when you first walk in, but soon after you do not notice it. Service was...
Read moreWent for early dinner this evening with friend! Arrived approx. 4:40! All but a couple barstools full and several tables occupied in this very small dining area! Ordered our bevs and requested menus. Of note, there was only one bartender/waitress on duty trying to take care of all areas! Through no fault of her own, this was a totally ridiculous situation with her trying to run the bar and the tables by herself. By the time our food came out, EVERY seat was occupied with this one employee still by herself. Needless to say, there was quite a wait for orders to be taken and food delivered. There should have been AT LEAST 3 or 4 employees working. Noticed several people up and leave because of the long wait times. Some had not even been offered bevs or menus even after waiting half an hour. She just could not keep up. Food portions are overly generous with both of us taking home half of our dinner! Prices very reasonable for portion size. Food was yummy! We will try again some other time if there is sufficient number of...
