After our last dinner here we received an email for review and follow up. After two responses we have never heard back. The sad part is that the Logan solicits reviews but never follows up on them.
This year will be the first in a few we do not attend valentines at a once great establishment. I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to provide feedback on our recent dining experience at the Logan Inn Restaurant on Valentine's Day. While we have always cherished the amazing atmosphere and exceptional dining experiences at your establishment, our visit this time was unfortunately not up to the standards The Logan has been known to provide.
Firstly, I would like to commend the culinary team for the outstanding appetizers and entrees, which were as delightful as ever. However, I regret to inform you that the overall experience was marred by significant service issues. Our waitress seemed to be consistently out of view, making it challenging to reach her for empty drinks or assistance between courses. This resulted in prolonged waiting times and detracted from the enjoyment of our evening.
Furthermore, the presentation of the dessert was disappointing. While observing other tables being served elegant creme brulees, we were presented with a dessert in a to-go plastic cup served on a platter. Not only was the presentation lacking, but the dessert itself was unsatisfactory, as it deflated upon serving and leaked excessive liquid, to the point the entire plater it served on could be thoroughly coated.
We were swiftly presented with the check without further acknowledgment of our concerns, despite the fact that the additional dessert provided was untouched. This left us feeling rushed and disregarded.
Furthermore, we were disappointed to notice that while flowers were provided as a thoughtful touch to every table, we did not receive one. This added to our feeling of being overlooked and contributed to a sense of dissatisfaction with our overall experience.
While we have previously enjoyed memorable dining experiences at the Logan Inn and acknowledge the value you typically provide, our Valentine's Day dinner was unfortunately a costly and lengthy disappointment. If this had been our first visit, we would regrettably not consider returning.
Despite this experience, we remain hopeful that the Logan Inn will continue to uphold its reputation for excellence in the future. We appreciate your attention to our feedback and look forward to the opportunity to dine with you again under more favorable...
Read moreA very nice looking renovation of the old Logan Inn which was expanded in a big way. We were there for lunch/brunch and the food at the restaurant ranged from mediocre to bad. Our experience started off badly. The hostess handed menus to another woman who didn’t even look our way or confirm our party was the right one, just started walking away from me. Takes us to an inside table ( I’d just confirmed a patio table) and when I mentioned the issue, she didn’t even acknowledge it just walked away from me back to the hostess stand. We got to our table and a waitress comes by to take our drink order. No drinks come, that’s because it was the wrong waitress, she’d made a mistake. Our real waitress comes and she seems nice and knowledgable about the menu if a bit high strung. We place our order and after a long wait the food finally comes. Two of the orders are wrong. I was missing a hollandaise sauce and my daughter’s “dutch baby” pancake was ludicrously undercooked. I complained to the manager and the food was taken off our bill which I appreciated, but she’d said she would bring out a new preparation for the Dutch baby and she never followed through. Honestly, it seems like this place is all glitz and can’t deliver on the quality you’d expect based on the environment and the prices. New Hope has a long record of mediocre restaurants that hope to coast on the hordes of people who flock to its charming town, and this is just another mediocre restaurant with mediocre staff. A terrible disappointment. Maybe if the owners put some time and money into hiring and training staff the place wouldn’t be such a dumpster fire.
In addition our server, who was very nice and seemed to know the menu in and out made several...
Read more“Choosing Ferry and Main in New Hope for lunch turned out to be a rather pleasant surprise. The establishment’s ambiance is adequately inviting, creating an atmosphere conducive to a midday reprieve. Now, the recent inclusion of a new chef does add a layer of intrigue to the equation. As we perused the menu, it became quite evident that an influx of culinary creativity had taken root. Each dish, it seems, had undergone a transformation, a calculated endeavor to present flavors in an innovative manner. The chef’s influence is palpable – a culinary undertone that skillfully balances tradition and modernity.
Our waitress was competent in her role, effectively aiding us in navigating the menu while subtly dropping the news about the new chef. This imparted a personal touch to our dining experience, establishing a connection between us and the driving force behind the cuisine.
From the inaugural morsel to the final bite, the new chef’s handiwork was unmistakable. The flavors danced with a palpable enthusiasm, the presentation itself an artful display of culinary prowess. In a realm where meals can often be forgettable, the chef’s culinary aptitude made sure our visit left a mark.
In summary, Ferry and Main’s lunchtime experience managed to intrigue. The amalgamation of a welcoming setting, inventive culinary presentations, and the silent guidance of the new chef culminated in an experience worthy of remembrance. For those in search of a lunchtime excursion that balances novelty with comfort, it seems Ferry and Main could be a logical destination on your...
