Smart Cellular Cell Phone Repair — Local services in New Iberia

I went to Smart Cellular Cell Phone Repair to get a new battery for my iPhone. Zied swapped my old battery out with another one. I paid $85 in cash. He never offered me a receipt. He actually hit on me and asked if I wanted to get coffee with him sometime. Unprofessional much?

Shortly after the battery was changed, my phone started acting weird. I was unable to receive texts or calls. I was also unable to make outgoing calls or send any texts.

I had to call Apple Support. I troubleshooted with the representative and she told me to go to Settings then to the Battery option. Once I clicked on the Battery option, a message appeared stating that the battery was not a genuine Apple battery.

I found Zied on Facebook since I couldn’t call his store directly to speak with him due to the fact I was unable to make outgoing calls. He stated he told me he does not use original Apple batteries. He never informed me of that.

I know for a fact that he has a note in his phone with saved responses so he can copy and paste responses when communicating with dissatisfied customers. The typing indicator never showed and I’d get a new message right away.

A majority of the ratings for his business are awful. He’s nothing but a scammer. I’ll attach screenshots of our Facebook conversation below and a screenshot of my iPhone stating the battery he put in my phone is not a genuine Apple battery.

This was about a month ago and i have had to end up changing the screen two more times after he touched my son's phone, now my last option is to file an insurance claim for a new phone. Stole 2 of my phones that I brought back after spending hundreds to fix them and they still ended up not fixed. When returning for my 5 phones he only had 3 and denied that I ever gave him the others. Very bad liar in business.
