Great spot for donuts, other sweet treats, and breakfast in general. They have a reasonably varied menu with many of the classic breakfast items available to go. I wanted to try a large sampling of the menu, so I ordered the glazed donut holes, egg and cheese sandwich, Boston creme donut, and cherry donut.
They did not disappoint. The glazed donut holes came in a solid portion for a great price. They were perfectly sweet without being too overwhelming. Not too dry either. Similar to Dunkin Donuts.
The Boston Creme donut was tasty. Solid size and filled with lots of creme. Definitely a classic. The cherry donut was surprisingly good, although a tad bit dry due to it not having any frosting.
My favorite item I got was the egg and cheese sandwich. It’s served on a lovely buttery croissant. They include the perfect amount of egg and cheese and it’s just a very satisfying breakfast sandwich.
All in all, I definitely recommend their food. It’s reasonably priced and very tasty. The egg and cheese sandwich is...
Read morePre-pandemic this place had a five-star rating for me. Post pandemic I noticed that they don't even bother with gloves or any kind of sanitary measures. I just watched staff with fake fingernails, which are bacteria-ridden nightmares, grabbing donuts out of the case with her fingernails and fingertips extending past the wax paper. That's disgusting. Firstly there's no reason to have those kind of nails in food service, they're nothing but a contamination risk. Secondly you'd think that post COVID this business would have figured out maybe using gloves is a good idea. Then again maybe this is why they're always "closed due to illness." Either way it's absolutely disgusting to touch food with your bare hands And it's exponentially more disgusting when you have manicure disease carrying fingertips. But hey, I guess wearing gloves and practicing proper food safety isn't as important as showing off the cheap tips...
Read moreMe and my wife used to come here for coffee and donuts every weekend. The staff (at that time) were friendly and familiar, the place was clean, and the food was of good quality.
The past month or so the ENTIRE staff has been replaced by foreigners, the breakfast sandwiches are now inedible, the place is a mess..especially the back kitchen where the FOOD is made, and the donuts are stale and sparse.
The staff as far as customer service are just fine, if not a little awkward due to the language barrier and cultural shift. The quality & cleanliness standards have slipped significantly.
In a few months Donut Connection is going to have a Starbucks not even 100 feet away to compete with. You'd think anyone with the slightest business sense would do all they could to maintain their loyal customer base.
I am very saddened by the loss of my favorite weekend breakfast spot. Shame on whoever set this...
