I am writing to express my disappointment with a recent experience I had at your establishment. On my first visit (Thursday, July 25th), I was served by an older gentleman who went out of his way to make me a delightful Mai Tai, which was not on the menu. This exceptional service prompted me to return.
Unfortunately, my second visit (Thursday, August 1st) did not meet the same standard. The bartender on duty was dismissive when I requested a Mai Tai, and the drink I received was unsatisfactory. Moreover, her remark, "I kind of wish you were someone else too," in response to my feedback was unprofessional and rude. It soured the entire experience for me and my friend.
While the food, particularly the steaks, was excellent, the service left much to be desired. I would like to continue supporting my local neighborhood spot, but I am hesitant to return if the same bartender is present. I hope you will address this issue so that all customers can enjoy both great food and service...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wanted to like this place based on the menu and that it's in our neighborhood. I just can't. Here's why: the place had too many people in it given covid regulations and the bartender was terrible. She wasn't a trained bartender at all. Made a terrible old fashioned ( with Buffalo Trace, no less) and wouldn't honor a request for a boulevardier ( another 3 ingredient bourbon cocktail). Wanted our card to start a tab immediately, but never brought a menu. Decided to forego the goodies on the menu given the mediocre bartender service. If the drinks aren't good, why bother with the food? When paying that tab, she didn't ask my husband's name to retrieve his card. Instead, she held out several and asked him to tell her which one. Poor security. In New Orleans, there is NO excuse for having an incompetent grumpy bartender. ...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst, I was served a beer that was warm + 3/4 foam. We kinda laughed and just poured it into a paper cup and choked it down⦠didnāt want to be rude. But then came the food. Place was empty, we ordered 2 hot dogs and fries. 30 minutes later, a plate of cold mush comes out. When I say cold, i mean these hot dogs were placed on a grill for 5 seconds out of the fridge, then plated. The bartender/owner apologized but clearly didnāt care. Worst eating experience Iāve had in recent memory. Will never go back and advise you to find somewhere else that takes pride in what they do and takes responsibility⦠itās New Orleans after all. $42 for 2 cold hot dogs, average fries, and a warm 6oz of beer is...
