The food is incredible here. It is a very unique flavor profile that is not common in New Orleans, but certainly has a place in this dynamic city. The pastries are gorgeous. With beautiful pastries the taste is equally astounding. Many bakeries in the city have beautiful pastries that lack a strong profile in depth of flavor and texture of the food. I personally don’t like quiche simply because it can be overpowered by too much cheese and a very thick flavorless crust at the bottom and top. I would definitely try the quiche at this bakery. The flaky buttery delicious crust melts in your mouth with this gorgeous quiche. I enjoyed the collard greens quiche. I also don’t believe that I am naĆÆve to new flavors but the grains of paradise bun was above par. I would recommend this experience at least once. Bravo to these genius creators, because this bakery should excel here. Also, my husband is a very picky eater and every time we go he gets two ham croissants and devours them within 30 seconds. My favorite will definitely be the...

We got there around 11 am on a Thursday and they were running low on pastries already. I got the pain au chocolate and the benne sesame cookie.

Pain au chocolate: It was crispy on the outside and so flaky and moist on the inside. It wasn't lacking in chocolate (like a lot of pain au chocolates are), and the chocolate was a delicious dark and smooth chocolate. This was so well done.

Sesame cookie: I don't think I could love another cookie as much I loved this one. It had a really amazing nutty and caramel flavor like browned butter. The exterior was nice and crisp but the inside was still soft and chewy. It's one of the best cookies I've ever had.

I'm so glad to have discovered Lagniappie! It's one of those places that will immediately come to mind when I think of the best...

šŸŽ‰ Congratulations to Lagniappe Bakehouse ! 🄧

I just visited Kaitlin’s new bakery, which opened this week in Central City, and I’m absolutely blown away! šŸ˜ Everything I tried was incredible – the flavors, the textures, everything! There are Swedish rolls that I am VERY in love with. And, she is making me a corn convert with that Anson Mills corn muffin with honey butter. I’m so excited for them and the amazing things they’re going to bring to the neighborhood. If you haven’t been yet, you need to stop by and treat yourself!

I couldn’t be more proud and excited for this new adventure. Central City just got a whole...

My daughter and I drive over to NOLA from the MS Gulf Coast a couple times a month and always check out a new-to-us bakery/coffee shop. Y'all...this place is amazing! From the adorable establishment, to the beautiful, friendly employees, and of course, the gorgeous pastries and desserts!! I had the Grain of Paradise Bun (pictured) which was oh so fabulous, as well as a sesame toffee cookie to go. My daughter had the absolute BEST coffee cake we have ever tasted in our lives....not exaggerating!! We will definitely be stopping here often on our day trips to New Orleans!
