Most inefficient, unfriendly and inhospitable experience, from walking in to get on wait list (we knew this would be likely), seeing that no person waiting at door to be put on wait list was remotely acknowledged by staff, to watching no less than 6 couples/groups walk out for not being even welcomed much less names taken, to watching half the restaurant with available, empty tables, including seats at bar, to asking bartender if we could sit and eat at bar, being told yes and then waiting for 45 minutes to get a glass of water while the staff was as slow, grumpy and incompetent as we’ve ever seen, to finally putting in our drink order (if we hadn’t ordered a bottle of wine, we never would have had more than our first glass), to waiting for another 45+ minutes for our food and only receiving half of our order. The pizza is good, but this was truly absurd and honestly had us wondering how long this place will stay open. It’s too bad and was altogether...
Read moreLaidback pizza/cocktail bar that makes for a cute date night or hangout spot with friends. Small and intimate with dim lighting, but cozy. Cavatelli pizza with shaved brussel sprouts is one of the best pizzas I've had - definitely top 10 and I've had the best in Brooklyn. We decided to play it safe with the margarita but it was not nearly as good as the cavatelli, middle of pizza was soggy and fell apart which made it hard to eat but still tasty. We wanted to try the pizza with curried yogurt and mushrooms but were too scared to take the leap - definitely next time ;) let me not forget about the drinks!!! I tried the drink with negroni? and it was good, smooth but not what I expected. My boyfriend had the aperol with “fuzzy orange juice” and it made me super jealous bc it looked like the tropical drink I normally go for. The service was fantastic and everyone seemed very welcoming and...
Read moreWhat a lovely spot! I love pizza, but I’m also super picky. I think this stuff is the goods. I experienced simultaneous Happy and FOMO while eating my Cavoletti pizza (brussels sprouts, garlic, lemon), because I was also eavesdropping on the patrons next to me while they raved about my other first choice (the Inverno: sweet potatoes, marscapone, honey, chili? Dang, I really want to try this!) The cocktail menu and natural wines are rad. Riffs on negronis and spritzes are my jam, and I was excited about all the amaro they have. I ordered the Shinjuku (plum whisky negroni) and my dinner mates got the Bitter Bee’s Knees and the Cucumber Buck, which were both delicious. I also had a glass of house white that was worth enjoying on its own instead of just washing my pizza down with (not that there’s anything wrong with that!). I’m really excited to come back...
