The Bourbon Square Jazz Bar — Restaurant in New Orleans

Ok how do I start this off…. First I meet a man named Rock who was amazing and his service was far above anyone that has ever served us ever anywhere. Then we meet his nephew I think who was named Dale who was so kind and considerate. They both made my wife and I fell like we was invited into their home for supper. Rock made me the best and yes I mean the best Bloody Mary I’ve ever had by far. I’ve been in 27 states and had probably over 10,000 bloody Marry but Rock made the best I’ve ever had by far.

Now let’s talk about the food…. OMG does these wonderful people know how to actually cook. Now there is cook then there is COOK’s lol. These people can cook let me tell ya. I’ve never eat better food anywhere ever. We ordered the lamb chops and let me tell you please order these. I’ve tried Gordon Ramsey lamb and this place is better I promise. Home away from home. This place surpasses any of my experiences in any other establishment out here. I’ve gone to many different viral and hidden gem spots out here in New Orleans but THIS ONE is by far the best! I’ve ended my night here each time and keep coming back. The owners are so personable, the restaurant is clean and you can tell a lot of thought and passion was put into the design. The artwork on the walls are meaningful with some being a dedication to Katrina victims. There’s a flower ceiling walk through and a back patio that is literally such a vibe, very spacious and has LED lights. They have huge screens for watch parties, karaoke nights with a stage, bands the perform. This place is amazing! Now for the nitty gritty - The drinks are nice and strong, the hookah is smooth, and the FOOD.. ahh man the food is better than any of those well known restaurants. BEST food, music, and people! We’re visiting from Iowa and thank God we found this place because they showed us the best time!!! Owners were so genuine and welcoming! We came to hangout before going somewhere else and tried their wings with homemade bourbon sauce- PHENOMENAL, perfect crunch, sauce, and flavor. He also made me a DELICIOUS slushy drink with their secret formula 😉 as a base then you add your liquor- I did Malibu for a tropical vibe. Order this if you want something sweet and unique!!

We had to leave but it was so good we came back & had a crab plate/seafood boil (sauce & garlic butter was so good) and fried catfish (nice crunchy breading). Both AMAZING as to be expected and the owner showed my uncultured Iowan self how to eat the crab legs. 🤣

Another true highlight was the amazing soulful band. People were dancing and singing and this was one of our favorite parts of our trip!
