My last visit in August 2022 was with the expectation of enjoying a satisfying meal and utilizing my membership benefits to earn points. Unfortunately, my experience at this establishment was extremely disappointing due to the manager's (Spanish looking guy) refusal to use my membership login to accumulate points. He entered my phone number incorrectly and that’s how he couldn’t find my account. I asked him to try again. He got mad and made a comment that I’m looking for a free meal. Despite my polite request to utilize my membership for points accrual, the manager outright refused, providing no valid explanation for their decision. This lack of customer service and unwillingness to honor their own loyalty program left me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a patron.

Furthermore, the overall ambiance of the place was subpar. The seating area was poorly maintained, with unclean tables and a general lack of cleanliness. In terms of the quality of the food itself, it was mediocre at best. The ingredients lacked freshness due to lack of enough customers, they were probably left over from previous day, suggesting a lack of attention to detail and a failure to meet the expected standards of a poke bowl establishment. The portion sizes were also smaller than anticipated, leaving me feeling unsatisfied.

As a customer, I believe it is essential to be treated with respect and to have one's loyalty recognized and rewarded. Unfortunately, my experience at this POKE LOA location fell short of these basic expectations. I strongly discourage others from visiting this establishment, as the lack of customer care and refusal to honor membership benefits creates a negative dining experience.

In summary, the manager's refusal to utilize my membership login for points accumulation, coupled with the overall lackluster ambiance and mediocre food quality, makes this POKE LOA an establishment that I cannot recommend. I now go to the other franchise located at 701 Metairie Rd. Way better experience...

I've been a regular at this location since it opened, and today was the first time I had a bad experience. I ordered my food on the website. After receiving and opening the container of my order I noticed a long strand of hair in my food. On my way back to the store, I called in attempt to relay the situation to the manager. The manager didn't seem to know anything about my order. When he asked if I wanted a fresh bowl, I told him I wanted a refund. When I got back to the store I presented the receipt and the bowl to the manager, and he didn't seem very concerned or apologetic about the matter. He asked if I wanted another bowl, and I said [again] that I wanted a refund. He asked what my order was [yet again], as he was holding my receipt and looking at the monitor. I told him he should be able to pull the order up with what I already gave him. He then gives me cash back. When I told him that I wanted a refund the way that I originally paid, he said "You should've said that before. I already took the cash out." I feel this should've been handled more professionally and with more consideration for their own mistakes. I will no longer be...

"Unbelievably Disappointing—Avoid at All Costs"

I’ve given this place more than enough chances, hoping for improvement, but the experience has been consistently underwhelming. After multiple orders, it’s clear that this establishment is a complete miss. Most recently, I paid an outrageous $20 for a meager 9 ounces of food. Not only was the portion shockingly small, but the quality was subpar at best. The freshness of the seafood left much to be desired, and for a city renowned for its incredible seafood options, this was a huge letdown.

But what really sealed the deal was the utter lack of customer service. I attempted to contact the restaurant multiple times, leaving messages and requesting to speak with a manager—nothing. No return calls, no effort to address concerns, just silence.

With so many fantastic, affordable seafood options in this city, do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. The overpriced, skimpy portions, and complete disregard for customer care make this a place I absolutely...

Fresh poke bowls! Delicious. Hearty and healthy. Great location on the corner!

Setting a new high standard for fast casual. Walking in you you are blanketed in cleanliness and freshness as you approach the quickly moving counter service. Poke Loa is a great concept that really deserves a first visit (but trust, it will not be your last). The menu is kept simple, and is made for you to customize your visit every time. The more modestly priced 2 protein bowl is more than enough to get a healthy fill. The best way to think about Poke Loa is to imagine all of your favorite ingredients from a FRESH sushi spot, and throw them all into a bowl. I must give a warning that there is currently some major construction on this corner of Magazine St. and Louisiana St. so it is a bit difficult accessing the storefront at this time. I would recommend parking on one of the side streets within a 1 to 2 block radius in order to score some free parking, and there are open walking paths to get into Poke Loa.
