The Munch Factory — Restaurant in New Orleans

Went there today for my birthday celebration with friends. Service was HORRIBLE. First off am it was HOT and there were flies in the restaurant. My daughter and I were there about a half hour BEFORE they asked what we wanted to drink but that was AFTER I flagged them down to say we were thirsty. Most of the young ladies in my party made it there before me. They said their entrees took a while to come. I got there at 1:30 and our food didn’t come until 2:45. Some of the ladies in my party canceled their orders. It took so long that I asked them to bring us saucers and a knife so I could cut my Birthday cake. Even my cake started melting and it wasn’t an ice cream cake. They brought my appetizer and entrée at the same time. The soda my daughter ordered was flat so we complained. They brought her a bottled soda, and that was flat too. The food actually was very good but the damage of poor customer service was already done. There was never an apology but they stated they were busy. They weren’t busy at all actually but probably short staffed. The final insult was that they had the nerve to add 20% gratuity with the poor service we received. I won’t be going back...

The "Fried Ribs" are so tender & delicious. The "Potato Salad" has that good old-fashioned taste of home that you can eat by itself...I couldn't wait to tell others how much I enjoyed the food. I'd had a lite snack before going, so I didn't order a lot, but the "Lower Garden District Fries" were so good, brings a new taste to the potato...yum a very appetitizing new comfort food for me. I was also impressed with the staff & atmosphere. I think "The Munch Factory" would be a great place for a variety of gatherings. The set in "Historical Pontchartrain Park" (actually, where I was born & raised) & the warm ambiance would be great setting for an evening event. I liked it so much I've already recommended this restaurant to as many people as I can... please check it out.

p.s. I loved that the neighborhood residents have great food choices and for convenience orders can be placed and picked up, which is good because parking is peacefully share with many "Golfers" who enjoy the golf course greens. So check "The "Munch Factory" for dine-in or take-out...I hope you enjoy it as much as...

A co-worker recommended your restaurant to me. So this past Friday, my day off from work we decided to have brunch at your restaurant. I must say that once we got in the restaurant we thought it was very cute and we love it. Looking out onto the golf course was very pleasant, but I really can't say the same for my meal. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits. It was beautifully presented but the sauce over the Shrimp and Grits was very, very salty, I mean too salty where I couldn't finish the meal. After eating 3 Shrimps with the sauce, I was done. The salt taste lit my palate like a ton of bricks. When I let our server know, she said that she would let the Chef know and she then asked me if I wanted her to remake it for me but it was going to be the same sauce. Now that didn't make any sense because it was still going to be the same salty sauce, nothing different. Since I couldn't finish my meal because it was way too salty, I think she should've taken it off my bill. I was/am very...
