I had the most lovely experience with Kat and the team at Drew Storin. I was stressed about a color and cut I got elsewhere and I randomly booked with Kat based on a yelp review. Kat immediately had me come in for a consultation. We met the same day I booked the appointment and she listened to me, got where I was coming from and then blocked off the whole next afternoon to do my color correction and cut. She was determined that I would leave her chair feeling confident and good about the way I looked. The other stylist working that day (Drew) had heard me talking during the consult and checked in several times while Kat was working with me to see how things were going. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I had the same stylist for ages in a different city and moving here, I tried a lot of people. Finally finding the right person was so amazing. Plus, I’m a natural redhead so color (to cover my grays) is always a struggle. Not with Kat. Plus, she checked in with me several times post appointment to make sure that I was still feeling good....

I’ve been going to Kat Conan at The Salon by Drew Stonin for two years now. I am a platinum blonde (naturally medium brown hair) and I don’t take color like everyone else (We joke that my hair lies). Kat takes her time-and she makes sure that we get it right. If there are problems, she quick to correct whatever you have an issue with. I have perfect strangers stop me and tell me how much they love my color (which is a huge ego boost). Kat has helped make sure that, even with all the processing we do, that my hair stays and looks healthy and that my scalp doesn’t suffer-and she makes sure that my haircut compliment me. I was so frustrated with my blonde before using Kat that I was about to give up and go back to being dark. I love salon day, because I know it’s going to turn out right. Scheduling weeks in advance doesn’t really gel with my routine, but Drew is the only stylist in post-Katrina New Orleans who I’ve met who I know what to expect from and will deliver it every time. Consistent and GOOD. There’s a reason he’s so in demand and it’s worth it. I wish more stylists in this city were this talented. They could start by listening to what their clients are telling them they want, then remaining focused while they cut. I’m just saying.
