Floor 13 — Local services in New Orleans

I just discovered Floor 13 recently on IG. I remember commenting that the place looked cool, but I probably couldn't afford anything. They replied to come by because they really try to have things for all different budgets. I had some free time today so I went. I have to say, this is like the coolest place ever. It's got so much personality and color. If I had the money to buy everything, I would. And I truly WAS very surprised by the prices. My husband and I have been looking for furniture for our living room, so I've been doing tooooons of research. Plus I've been to plenty of vintage stores where everything is insanely priced. This place has prices that seemed totally fair, not like they wanted to gouge your eyes and your wallets. There was a piece I loved that anywhere else would likely be $800 at a minimum. Here it was less than half that. There were also a number of things on sale - not just ugly pieces. There's a sputnik light fixture that both my husband and I loved and want to try and come back for - the price shocked me. In a good way. I'm a teacher so I don't really ever expect to be able to afford cool things, but this place may just well...

Before our trip to New Orleans, I scoped out Floor 13 and other second use/salvage yards in the area with a lofty goal: find a unique, understated-while-making-a-statement light fixture for our entry foyer. After months of fruitless searching locally, I was ready to give up and get a boring builder-grade special , but something about the pictures of the beautiful selection at Floor 13 gave me hope... and I was right! Not only did they have the PERFECT carved oak pendant light, but they were down to ship it right to our door in Seattle!

In addition to their lovely staff and great inventory, Floor 13 has deals. We found an Easter Egg and won 20% off their already fair prices. Honestly, 10/10 shopping experience. We'll think on this store fondly whenever we admire our new lighting. Thanks again, ladies, and see you...

I was pleasantly surprised at the available options. I design & stage homes. The best thing about Floor 13 is the staff: helpful, courteous & even allowed me to come on when usually closed. I have purchased a great mid century modern dresser I placed in walk-in closet as a statement piece. I also scored on 3 sets of wrought iron & wood shelves I placed in a pantry for the wow factor. My most recent purchase was a black 47” round table I used to allow a very large kitchen to become a great gathering place. This table was very affordable & allowed the project to be below budget. Highly recommend coming here...
