LOMO SALTADO - taste like a different Peruvian plate called estofado de Res ( beef stew) . Tomatoes and onions was over cook , you can tell in the picture . We use regular French fries and not that potatoes style wasn’t crispy at all . Rice portion very small knowing Peruvians like to eat rice . They use SIRLOIN STEAK and was over cook a little hard . PRICE :$32 PLATE PRESENTATION : ZERO . horrible looks like they don’t care too much juice and the rice and potatoes was all wet Food presentation is the key .

OVER PRICE IN MY OPINION , for this price I have been in other Peruvians places and at least they use fillet minion.

IN NEW YORK $16 lomo saltado (sirloin steak ) place inside World Trade Center and I was much better quality and authentic Peruvian food . IN BOSTON $22 lomo saltado using (sirloin steak ) good flavor and more authentic . THIS IS NEW ORLEANS AND ITS OVER PRICE I CANT CALL THIS PLACE AUTHENTIC PERUVIAN FOOD .

SECO DE CORDERO ( lamb shank ): small rice portion , beans was ok in flavor , lamb needed more herbs AUTHENTIC SECO DE CORDERO WILL HAVE SOME GREEN PEAS AND CARROTS AND I DIDNT SEE OR TASTE THAT IN THIS PLATE . PRICE : $34 over price PLATE PRESENTATION : was ok

ANTICUCHOS DE CORAZON (grilled heart ) : is not the authentic Anticuchos but flavor was delicious and the chimichurri sauce gives a touch to this plate and potatoes with chipotle sauce was delicious. SO FAR THIS WAS MY FAVORITE AND PRICE $14 WAS OK FOR THIS .

PISCO SOUR - I had a bad experience before in other places with pisco sour so I used to said I don’t like pisco Saur but thanks to this place now I can say I like pisco sour , flavor was excellent you can taste real lemons and pisco . Price $14 a little over price . Like I said before this is New Orleans .

AND THE WORSE OF THIS PLACE AND I WAS SO SO DISAPPOINTED ABOUT IT NOBODY TOLD ME THET WILL CHARGE $3 FOR A LITTLE SPICY SAUCE THEY CALLED ROCOTO SAUCE BUT IS NOT EVEN THAT LOOKS LIKE IS CORN STARCH MIXED UP WITH SOME WATER AND ARTIFICIAL COLOR AND SOME ROCOTO SAUCE ALL MIXED UP AND THE RESULT IS LIKE A KETCHUP SAUCE , I know what is rocoto I know the real flavor and texture that’s horrible trying to sell this sauce as a rocoto sauce and they charge for that it’s ridiculous I have been in fancy places in different states and this for me it’s to be RIDICULOUS. I was so disappointed after noticed this in my receipt, I talk to the manager she said she doesn’t wanna me me feel disappointed about this place but I was already even if in the end they didn’t charged me $3 for that sauce I was and I will be in the future for this place.

With all my heart we wanted to like this place because of the glowing reviews but we just didn't have a good experience. The table appetizer was set down first, we didn't get a name or what it was called. My wife is somewhat sensitive to spice and we didn't realize the roasted corn was paired with a semi-spicy type of salsa. We were struggling with the menu, while we love new food and Hispanic, we understand Peruvian is a very different culture. We even told the server this is our first time... We don't know what to get or what to anticipate... She somewhat blankly looked at me and smiled. I thought there was a language barrier.. I persisted, as I was saying hey we don't really understand what these dishes are, what's good? What's popular? And she finally pointed out the Lomo Saltado with the steak, so we opted for that for her. I got the Aji De Gallina and was hoping something with chicken would stand out. Our appetizer was Plantains with really good creme sauce, we enjoyed it. She got a cocktail called the "Pisco Punch", decent size, tasty, fairly strong.

First off presentation was on point. We got the food and initially I was trying to get a taste for my dish and in all seriousness it didn't have much taste. My honest to God impression was lukewarm really good chicken salad but needed salt. I tried her dish, it was somewhat on the cold side as well.. But much tastier. We decided to share and we realized mixing our 2 dishes together made them better. I got El Capitan drink.. I was extremely disappointed. For the price and the strength and the amount of alcohol.. It was like I got 1 ounce of flavor and one ounce of alcohol for $17, I immediately felt ok we got bamboozled here. The server was nice enough but in all seriousness without offense, we didn't know if there was a language barrier because we couldn't get her to make conversation.

The restaurant was somewhat crowded, the outside was nice seeing the trolley and people walk by. They brought a special small light to each table creating more ambient light and a more romantic atmosphere. But we were less than impressed with the food and it pains me to say that because we wanted to like it.

We definitely would give it one more chance, but will try something different on the menu. If you want a good date atmosphere, its a good place to come. The decorations were very beautiful inside as well, nice place.

Had dinner at Tito’s on a Friday night based on a friends recommendation. The meal itself was very good and pretty well priced for the quality. The dining room itself and the ambiance was good. Three issues to point out where the restaurant management can improve the dining experience. First, we felt rushed at the beginning of the dinner, the waitress did not provide nearly sufficient enough time to just sit and enjoy our wine and cocktails prior to taking our order. After ordering, the meal came out very very quickly. More importantly, one person had ordered a salad and the servers brought out the salad and the second diners entrée at the same time. Not sure why, as most people dining like to eat their entrees together. When questioned, the waitress said they could bring the second diners entree out, but of course it did not appear for a while, the result that one diner finished their main meal 20 minutes ahead of the other. Very strange. Not sure what the rush was as the restaurant was only about 1/3 filled with plenty of open tables. The last issue was that while paying the check, another group arrived and occupied the table next to us. We overhead their waiter informing them of about six daily specials. Our waitress never informed us of any of the specials, which sounded delicious, and a few of which we probably would have ordered. When asked about this, our waitress hemmed and hawed. Never really indicated she even knew about the specials to offer. In summary, a nice enough restaurant with good food (4.5); however the overall experience was less than it could have been due to the service issues (3). I would definitely return for the food but my expectation would be for a much higher quality service experience for the...

So some colleagues and I decided to take advantage of the Coolinary event happening in the city and since I'd tried Titos once before and was simple blow away I decided to take them there and my God this is next level cuisine. I decided to put names of the dishes along with the pictures so if someone want to try the exact dishes we tried you can identify them. From left to rigtt: 1. Ceviche Shrimp 2.Anticuchos (Grilled Beef Hearts) 3.Arroz con Pato( Duck Confit and Cilantro Rice) 4. Caufa de Mariscos 5.Maracuya Flan I can't begin to explain the flavors of this cuisine, how delicate and fresh, simple yet the depth of flavor left me speechless. The Duck Confit (Arroz con Pato), soul food period!! Really! This is my moms , my grandmother type of cooking deep complicate flavors taste like it was cooking all day and with so much love and care. So balanced in flavors I am not a big rice person but WCW it was so satisfying I could have eaten BOWLS of it. The duck was excellent also. And the(Anticuchos) Grilled Beef hearts...please!!!!...the potatos that come with the beef hearts alone were on some other planet. I have never tasted anything like it. I tried the marinated octopus in squid ink the first time I tried Tito's. That meal changed my culinary experience and allowed to even future open my curiosity for amazing foods. TItos is a much try. The staff is so amazing they were so helpful explaining the dish and the ingredients and most time teaching us how to pronounce the dishes. The only dish I didnt loke was the Flan, it was way too sweet for me like wayyyyyyy too sweet. This is a must try especially if you're a foodie but mostly if you want to try beautiful amazing food made with love.
