My child had icecream here tonight and the staff was less than friendly (particularly one young lady). The young lady who served us had gloves on, but was touching her face with them and did not change them. She seemed almost misserable that we were there and I was surprised she even got off the stool at the register to serve us. Not sure if she was on something, hungover or just exhausted. The sign stated $5 or a single cup and $1.50 for a single topping. We got charged an extra $1.50 so I did not tip. After I did not tip her, I thought I may have seen her give me a dirty look. After looking at the menu on the wall there appeared to be a discrepancy with pricing. When I asked for another spoon after our plastic spoon broke, I saw her whispering to her coworker and definitely gave us a dirty look. I enjoy tipping for good service, but this was not even decent service. To be fair the other young lady was kind and did give us a second spoon. May just have been a bad day for this young lady, and this may have been an isolated incident, but I felt i had to share my experience. For the record, my child said the icecream was "really,...

I came into Waffle Time looking for ice cream, as advertised on the sign outside. I ordered an m&m and oreo milkshake, which was one of the options on the menu. It cost $14. I didn’t think the monetary value was proportional to the taste and quality of the milkshake, but I hope other people have better experiences. It was more like severely melted ice cream, but I did like the atmosphere. If you are looking for a family friendly activity centered dessert place, this would be it. However, mind the price. There were games you could play with a group or even just by yourself, and even though they were geared toward younger kids, the games still looked fun. The service was okay. The first person who helped me seemed very annoyed with me, which I get, life happens. The second person, who handed me my milkshake, was much nicer, and told me to have a good night as I walked out of the store.

All in all it was ok. Not bad, but not great. Overpriced and had...

5* food, 3* service. We got a couple different waffles with fruit (one banana, one strawberry) with ice cream and Nutella, and both were spectacularly good. Wished the ice cream to waffle ratio had been slightly higher, but that mainly speaks to how good it was.

The person helping us, however... struggled a bit. I had to repeat my order a few times despite reading directly from the menu. She started scooping a different ice cream than I had asked for, then argued a bit that the strawberry waffle came with vanilla (which the menu did not say; none of the items specified a particular ice cream flavor as far as I saw). When she was done, she handed me this giant waffle filled with ice cream and fruit with no bowl, plate, or cup, so I had to ask for one.

In the end, they did get our order right, though. I'd recommend checking it out, because the end result was worth...

In here I had the worst human interaction of my whole USA trip and the most expensive and worst '' '' ice-cream '' '' of my life. Really an incredible achievement. The slimy-sugary ice-cream comes from huge white-plastic barrels (the ones where they usually put industrial paint) which really gives away the quality of what you're buying. Let's also put aside the prices, which are downright a robbery (20 bucks for a milkshake). The worst part was the ''service''. We interacted with some lady behind the register that, while taking our order, was texting on her phone and chewing visibly bubble gum. The order was messed up of course (paid for 2 scoops and received one). Not happy with this she also bullied us into giving her a tip. Imagine someone behind the counter not even achieving the bare minimum of decency and then also actively bullying you into giving her more money.

I recommend this to everyone who comes to New Orleans, mainly French Quarter, this is because the service was top tier, this is mainly due to the kindness of the employees especially Sky. The food was also very good, all of the waffles for waffle cones are freshly made and the ice cream is always cold, and all toppings such as marshmallows are fresh. Lastly, the atmosphere was perfect they were playing good music, we were able to use the dart board in the dining area, and there were only 3 employees, although they were highly efficient for their amount. I again would like to say I recommend this to every person who stays in The French Quarter, also a hotel that's in good vicinity of everything is Hotel St. Pierre.

This was my first time visiting New Orleans and my family and I had a great time at this place. From the moment I stepped inside, the tantalizing aroma of freshly baked waffles filled the air, and I knew I was in for a treat. The ambiance of Waffle Time is warm, inviting, and filled with the delightful sound of customers savoring their sweet indulgences. The music is so fun too! Loved the Adele. The staff members were so incredibly friendly, especially the owner who made the experience so wholesome. The waffles themselves are a perfect blend of crispness on the outside and softness on the inside and they come warm and gooey. As someone who lives in San Francisco, California WE NEED THIS HERE.
