The lady was absolutely so sweet! this was my first time wearing a corset, she lead my through the entire process, putting it on, how to tie it, how to take it off, and how to take care of it, and answer all our questions, the two ladies really took care of me! they didn't really have to do this for me, I could have just perhaps googled or watched YouTube but it was very sweet they took the time to help me she even steamed the skirt I got for me, and explained everything for me. which really warms my heart, I felt so welcomed and comfortable in the store! she really took me through every step of it and waited outside my changing room to make sure I was okay (I struggled putting on the corset on for the first time haha) I got the outfit shown in the picture, the blue corset and lace skirt if you're interested in this style of fashion and youre in new orleans, please stop by here! it was such a fun and sweet experience to be in this store! you can tell they know what they're doing.

The wares are great, I bought a fabulous jacket that I’ve worn it every day of Mardi Gras and it gets compliments all day. My favorite aspect of the shop was the owner, John, whom is such a good human. Genuine and friendly, he embodies the welcoming energy of NOLA. He was super helpful with my purchase. For example, the jacket cuffs had sequins on the inside that were bothering my wrists, so after some troubleshooting he offered to tape down the inside of the cuffs with packing tape until I could get them covered with cloth back home. It took up and extra 20 minutes of his time and he was so generous about helping me out. They also ship, so don’t let suitcase space keep you from purchasing something! I can’t recommend this store enough. Don’t shy away from price tags, the quality is beyond anything I’ve found for fun costumes.

Road Kill saved my New Years! My jacket I owned didn't work, I rushed over to Road Kill 30 minutes to closing time on New Years Eve expecting them to be closed or not in a great mood with me coming that close to closing and it was further from the truth. The 2 people working, sorry I forgot your names, were the absolute best! Super helpful, went out of their way to make me look good at a great price. They have alot of stuff I've never seen before, The store is awesome, everything you can imagine, my only regret was I came near close and could look more. I had so many complaints on my outfit, THANK YOU GUYS!! You are my first store I stop at in New Orleans every time I stop from now on. And anyone in the area you have to stop for all your costume needs! You won't be disappointed. This is The Top Stop in NOLA for me!

don't normally leave reviews but this was a first for me. We walked in because i thought the stuff he had was cute and quirky. There were "no photo" signs posted all over the place, I thought that was wierd but whatever, continued looking. My husband had been looking at a bag and we were having a conversation about it wile he was on his phone. We never took any photos. He in our conversation he mentioned to me that he found a lunch box on Amazon, not the backpack he was looking at. the guy at the counter I guess over hurd us and just assumed we were talking about his stuff being on Amazon buecuse he got supper rude. I asked him, shop guy, how much the hats behind him at the counter were and his response was a supper snarky "I don't know!" I asked about somthing else and got the same response but he seemed really mad this time, so I said ok? and we went to leave. As we left the same guy yelled at us "if you're going to just shop Amazon don't even come in!" Totally uncalled for. Hubby went back into explain to the guy what he had heard us talking about and the guy ended up giving me a discount on the hat i had wanted to look at (probably as an apology) but I won't be going back. he needs to get a hold on his temper and not judge an overheard conversation at face value if he wants to have people shop there. don't be rude to...

After stepping into this "charming" shop and looking around for a couple minutes, I made the HUGE mistake f taking out my phone to take a pic of some super cute shoes to show my daughter. Unfortunately, I was not a responsible customer to scan the store before hand, and didn't notice the NO PICTURES ALLOWED signs he has posted somewhere in his shop. My bad I guess...the owner yelled at my friend and me to GET THE F*%K out of his shop, NOW! I apologized and said I didn't see his notice, was looking at merchandise - and didn't want to ruin his day, he was visibly upset. He quipped that it wouldn't ruin his day at all and went on to rant about technology, photos, and lower prices elsewhere. It was a 1st for me, never been thrown out of anywhere in all of my 46 years. I just wanted to share his bizarre, rude and confrontational behavior with anyone who might accidentally pull a phone out in his...
