Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in New Philadelphia

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved this restaurant and come to this location 2-3 days out of the week and to say I was unsatisfied last night would be an understatement(mind you I’m a server myself so I am VERY patient).we waited 10-15 minutes at a table before being served so yanno the server side of me was like she’s probably busy it’s fine well then we order our drinks(2 waters) and waited forever on those, but it’s fine because I saw her running appetizers to everybody else’s tables so whatever we waited patiently.then we ordered our food mind you like I said I order the same thing at this location 2-3 nights a week.I ordered the pasta with extra sauce on the side. When the waitress brings it out it is DRYYYY I order this meal multiple days a week and I’ve never had it brought to me like that so I just asked her hey can I have some more sauce for my pasta and she replies you can but I’m charging you $2 per cup and I’m like no it’s fine I go to stir the pasta and I realize it’s ONLY sauce on the side not EXTRA sauce on the side like I asked? So now I wait for her to come back I tell her I don’t want it and she gets an attitude and snatches the food and walked away mind you I never took a single bite of it I was NOT trying to get free food.I get one day off of work and school a week I promise you this isn’t how I wanted to spend my time away. It takes her about 20 minutes to fix our bill and then she brings us a card back from one of her other tables and I said “ummmm that’s not my card” and she leaves again for about 10-15 more minutes and comes back around 11 pm.atp I should be at home in bed for work.the server side of me just wouldn’t let me not tip her 20% but this experience was absolutely awful and my boyfriend and I probably won’t...

At least they are consistent. I live less than 5 minutes from this restaurant butt stopped going here years ago because of the service. I took my niece out shopping today and we had an hour to go get lunch before we had to pick up my nephew. We arrived at the restaurant at about 10:55 as an employee was opening up the doors. We walked in side and were greeted with a "is it 11 yet". We immediately walked out after the rude comment. I decided to walk back in to let the manager know about his employees comment. He replied "what time is it?" to me. I told him I was aware of what time it was and asked him if he thought it was appropriate for his employees to be rude to the only paying customer in the building. He changed his tune and said no. He did offer to pay for our lunch afterwards but I will never eat at that place again and declined his offer. This is why I drive an hour to go to the Applebee's north of here. Server friendly, didn't come to table much, food typical, nothing that stood out to wanna go back all the time. Typical Frenchies menu. Understand why Applebee's is dropping down in popularity when they are short-staffed and staff doesn't want to help other staff when it comes to being efficient and getting food out on time. They are running a special through the month of April where you get one appetizer and two entrees for the price of $25 before added drinks and taxes. Problem with it though is when we were there it took almost an hour before we even got our appetizers to the table. The food did come out hot it's just that the timing is really ridiculous. I don't know if this is an overall restaurant issue at this location or if it had to do with the servers or the fact that nobody wants to go the extra mile and do enough teamwork to help each other out.... Like I said with this being a typical franchise I don't go out of my way too often... Personal opinion to keep it up at this rate and they will eventually close their doors......
